Today I pulled my children from this facility. When we first enrolled our children at Early Advantage Academic Preschool, we believed we had found a safe and caring environment. The original owners we met during enrollment seemed passionate about education and creating a positive culture for children. As a first-time daycare parent, I spent far too much time trusting the leadership to make things right. A year ago, Early was highly recommended, but this facility was much different than what it is today. Over the 9 months our children attended, there were issues that you’d probably see at any other daycare facility involving children getting messy or incidents involving injury. I advocated for my children and took leaderships word when they assured me that they were working on things internally. I slowly began questioning whether the staff were truly making efforts as they said they were. Unfortunately, we continued seeing unexplained injuries with no incident reports for our 20-month-old and a concerning number of teachers coming and going which made it impossible for him to get adjusted. The breaking point for our family was when my 3-year-old son received 7 incidents in a 30-day period. On his final day attending Foxes class, he got bit twice in one day alone. As a parent, I completely understand that no classroom will ever be perfect. My issue was the lack of control, urgency and accountability from the office staff when these situations repeatedly happened. The Assistant Director whom I spoke with first mentioned that after all steps were taken, they would then consider releasing the child that was biting. I 100% believe that the child struggling should not go unsupported, but a child who is repeatedly hurting other children is clearly not a child being supported enough and then to suggest that they are the problem and should be released is wrong. The facility should provide enough support if they agree to handle a difficult situation and release the child if they are unable to provide the appropriate support. Also, they assured me that there was a system in place where a 3rd person is added in the class after a biting incident to help support the struggling child and that is a flat out lie, which raises an even bigger red flag. Are they also saying this to the parent of the struggling child? This is NOT OK. What is most disheartening is that my final conversation with the Director sealed my decision. She was someone I saw and spoke with every day, and she made her office feel like a safe place. I asked her if in the past month nothing has changed and my son has still getting hurt what would be the next steps? She told me that if I was asking whether they were going to release the child, that she was directly letting me know that they would not regardless of how many times and who was getting hurt and asked me what I wanted her to do, that if I would like my son moved to a different class, she could work on it but was very busy and it wouldn’t be an immediate switch. A facility responsible for children should not have leadership like this. Every child matters. Picking up my 3-year-old with an ice pack constantly is unacceptable. I want to make it clear that this review is NOT directed toward the teachers. Some of the teachers there are caring and clearly overwhelmed and unsupported. Especially in Foxes. The original owners, I was informed are no longer working directly with the facility and the owner that I spoke to was understanding but does not live locally and not being aware of the issues going on, which is unfortunate. If your child/ren attend Early Advantage or you’re thinking of enrolling your children. Be cautious that the office staff do an amazing job at making this facility appear to be what it’s not. When issues begin, they will make you feel comfortable, understood and say they are handling it, but do the bare minimum when taking action. I hope things improve because there are great teachers and children at this facility who deserve better support than what they are currently receiving.
VanessaMay 6, 2026We are beyond grateful for the team at Early Advantage. My little one has been to a couple of daycares with one being an extremely traumatic experience. Adam and his team completely changed our minds about what a “daycare” truly is. They provide a Preschool. My son learned so much! They truly care about each child that walks through the doors. 10/10 Recommend!
Kailey JohnFeb 11, 2026Our son has been attending Early Advantage since he was just 3 months old, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the care he’s received. From the very beginning, his first head teacher, Mrs. Brenda, made a lasting impression on us with her nurturing spirit, warmth, and genuine love for the children. She treated our son like family, helping him grow and thrive in those precious early months. ♥️ He has moved up classrooms and the entire staff has continued to show that same level of care and professionalism, making it a place we fully trust and highly recommend!
Morgan SnoderlyOct 17, 2025We’ve truly enjoyed having our son attend Early Advantage in Cave Springs. The teachers and staff are all very kind and truly care for the kids at the school. We were worried as our little guy went from a nanny to daycare at 15 months and thought the transition would be tough. The teachers went above and beyond and really made him feel welcome and loved. We feel reassured about our decision to enroll him and would highly recommend the daycare to anyone who is looking. The staff is great, location is wonderful and we love that it’s a smaller daycare.
Sandra WindhamSep 16, 2025The facility’s security is deeply concerning. The young girl acting as receptionist is often away from the desk, and parents frequently hold doors open for strangers with no supervision. The outdoor area is a tiny, muddy courtyard with poorly maintained toys at the bottom of a hill near a busy road. During the month my son attended, I witnessed serious flaws in staff behavior, leadership, and childcare practices. He was repeatedly labeled as difficult and treated poorly, with frequent negative behavior reports unlike anything we have seen before or since. We were constantly drawn into classroom drama, often having to endure the young girl running the classroom repeatedly stating that she "can't do her job," as if her role were not to educate but simply to avoid challenge. Communications from the husband and wife who operate the facility were contradictory and dishonest, including claims that a classroom transfer was unrelated to behavior, then later that it was an intervention without involving us as parents. Classroom footage revealed my son isolated from peers with a teacher yelling in his face, causing visible distress. In private discussions, staff asked inappropriate questions about our home life, commented on our “parenting style,” and ultimately laid blame on us, never taking responsibility for the harm they caused. Euphemisms like “redirect” for isolation and “uninvite” for expulsion masked emotional harm. My education is in Communications, and based on research and studies, cynical use of euphemistic language like this reflects a toxic culture. As someone in public education, I understand firsthand the challenges of managing a classroom and how parents can sometimes be unaware of issues caused by their children. After leaving Early Advantage, my son attended Cadence Academic Preschool, where he was happy, enthusiastic, quickly made a best friend, and is now thriving in kindergarten within a structured, supportive environment. This makes clear that the problems we encountered at Early Advantage were failures of the facility, not of our child. Early Advantage does not operate as a true educational partner and is not equipped to support children who need patience, guidance, or collaboration with families. If you are currently enrolled and hear negative reports about your child, know that classroom footage exists. Ask to see it. Don’t take staff accounts at face value. Looking back, I’m thankful we weren’t there longer. The experience was disruptive and could have harmed my son’s confidence and well-being. EDIT: The reply below mentions changes that address my concern. What they are talking about they already mentioned to us before and they mean they updated their intake process to weed out undesirables.
Dustin MapesAug 27, 2025Between 2 kids, we have enrolled in several different daycares over the years. Our experience has ranged from very poor to good. Our experience at Early Advantage has been amazing, I wish we would have moved our son here sooner. Staff and teachers are very attentive and loving. My sons attitude toward going to daycare has completely changed. He is truly thriving here, socially and academically!
