  My child attended Stars for approximately 3 years. The first year and a half went smoothly, the other year and a half not so much. My daughter has ADHD and level 3 autism. She started coming home with hand marks all over her from the staff. I brought it to the attention of the owner three times and was gaslit and told if I kept bringing it up my child would be kicked out of school. It got to the point I had to contact law enforcement, they did an investigation, and my daughter stopped coming home with hand marks all over her. My child had no behavioral problems until the school kept pushing for her to be put on medication for her adhd. The medication made her aggressive and she started to self harm. They called me 3 times in the matter of two weeks to pick her up early because she was “too much to deal with” (tell me how a school for special needs kids can’t handle a special needs child). The first time someone was there within 10 minutes to pick her up, the second time it took me an hour to get to the school because I wasn’t in Batesville when I got the call. On this day they didn’t even wait for me to park my vehicle completely before they had my child out in the parking lot. The third time I was there in 25 minutes. Two weeks in a row they only allowed her to attend 3 days a week. They suggested I make an appointment with my daughter’s doctor about the medicine. I did and she was taken off of it and I was told to wait two weeks before we tried something else. They didn’t even give my daughter two days to get the medication out of her system before they told me they were kicking her out because they don’t have the resources to handle her. They suggested that we wave kindergarten and have her attend another year not even a month before kicking her out. They left my family scrambling to get my child enrolled into kindergarten. She missed out on the actives of the kids graduating this August and she will not get to graduate with the kids she’s been in class with for a year. This is a place that claims they have experts in special need care, but are constantly hiring new staff and coming up with excuses on why they can’t help or why my child was being mishandled. If your child is non verbal or has adhd, I highly recommend not enrolling them into stars.

  Really don’t appreciate getting a letter sent home with my kids on how I don’t have her out to ur van on time especially when yall don’t know how to pick a time to be here n stick with it yall pull up to my house honk wake my other kids up be disrespectful to my husband and I when we bring our kid out to yall I really don’t appreciate it seems like yall need to get your stuff together before sending me a letter about how yall can’t keep it together js

  This place is a joke. it takes months to get a appointment due to apparent training, then when we finally get in there its cash only. Oh! and their financial help is you paying in full and they'll try to get you reimbursed. A complete circus show.

  Worse school ever all they know how to do is call dhs on people they literally say my child down and ask her if her parents hit her like literally asked her did ur mom or dad hit u. Who does that isn’t that against some kind of rule to do that to ur child?

  All 3 of my kids attended Stars and it was the best thing for them! I wish they could have attended longer. The staff is so sweet and caring.
