Ahwatukee Foothills Montessori Center

Our daughter has been attending AFM for the last three years, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. The school is exceptionally clean and well organized. The teachers and staff are caring, patient, and very experienced. Anytime we have had questions or concerns, the teachers and staff have always listened and they go above and beyond in helping us with it. We are especially impressed with our daughter’s progress in reading and writing. She is able to read and write very well and she also loves reading. AFM has been an excellent start to her education and we highly recommend it to other families!

This is one of the best schools in the whole valley. One of the best decisions I ever made was to enroll our son at AFM. Our son loved going to school everyday, never complained. AFM is quite far from where we live (20 mins drive), but we kept driving our son because he loved it. The teachers are great, some of them have been there for a very long time, it's something all parents need to consider when choosing a day care or a pre-school. Kids tend to build some kind of attachment with their teachers (they spend most of their time with them). The curriculum and the method of teaching is exemplary, we have decided to send our daugther to the same school starting next spring, though the driving is the hardest part. They do a pretty good job on preparing the kids to their next grade level, pre-k to K, K to 1st grade. If they have higher grade levels, we would have continued there.

Ahwatukee Foothills Montessori (AFM) is a wonderful school. Our 6 year-old has been there for the past 2 years, and when he tested for first grade capabilities at his (future) new school, the staff were very impressed with how capable he was in reading, writing, and arithmetic. The staff do a great job of balancing play with learning, and the overall curriculum is focused while incorporating play and social/intellectual development in all lessons. We were very pleased to have had the fortune of registering our little one here, and whole-heartedly recommend this school to families looking for a great learning environment for their children.

From the moment we enrolled our children at AFM, we were welcomed into a warm and nurturing community. The Montessori approach is truly unique, fostering an environment where children are encouraged to explore, discover, and develop at their own pace. The Montessori method's emphasis on hands-on materials and self-directed learning has had a profound impact on my children's academic and social development. One of the standout features of AFM is its dedicated and passionate staff who are almost like family. My older child is 13, yet she recalls all her AFM teachers who are thrilled to see her whenever we visit. It has provided my children with a strong foundation for academic success, a love for learning, and essential life skills. I wholeheartedly recommend it to parents seeking an exceptional educational journey for their children.

Our child has been attending since 2020 and will be graduating in the spring. Students thrive at their own pace with great teachers in a welcoming environment. Long time staff, prompt communication (esp during 2020), effective curriculum, and total transparency are only a few things that contribute to the trust we have! The staff's care, professionalism, and commitment is even reflected in how the students treat each other. AFM is wonderful community to be a part of. We are so thankful for the impact it has had on our child's early development!
