My experience with the Family Enrichment Center was very disappointing and not at all what I had hoped for. If you are not a student at Yavapai, it honestly does not seem worth the effort to try to enroll your child. Communication from the staff was extremely poor. The only time I received a response was when I repeatedly followed up myself. I placed my daughter on the waitlist as early as possible—while I was still expecting—and after 12 months of hearing nothing, I finally reached out for an update. I was told the director would be reviewing the waitlist by the end of that week, but I never received any follow-up. After reaching out again, I received what felt like a generic response stating that there were “several families ahead” of me, with no additional information or reassurance. After more than a year, being told there has been no movement at all on the waitlist is incredibly frustrating and hard to understand. Overall, the lack of communication and transparency made this a very discouraging experience. I hope other families have a better experience than I did.
