We love the Y! It's well organized and there are so many options for classes. All of the instructors we have seen are very good, as well as fun and personable. The app has a lot of good content and works but could be better at capturing your activities. And I wish we could purchase Y t-shirts!

We recently hosted my children’s birthday party at the YMCA, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! They have so many great party options to choose from, and we went with the slime party—the kids had an absolute blast making it! What really set this experience apart was the staff. Nick and his entire team went above and beyond to ensure all of our needs were taken care of from start to finish. They were incredibly helpful, attentive, and made the whole day stress-free for the parents. As an added bonus, the kids got to burn off the rest of their energy in the play room once the party was over, which was the perfect ending to a great day. If you are looking for a fun, well-organized, and stress-free venue for a kid's birthday, I highly recommend the YMCA! We will definitely be back.

The Desert Foothills Family YMCA is exactly what a community fitness center should be — and rarely is. From the moment you walk in, it's clear this isn't just a gym. It's a genuinely community-oriented organization that takes both its mission and its members seriously. The operating hours are excellent and well thought out — they actually work around real people's schedules, which sounds basic but is harder to find than it should be. What stood out most was the atmosphere. Members here are welcoming to newcomers in a way that feels natural rather than performative. No cliques, no intimidation — just people getting on with it and happy to share the space. The facility itself is in outstanding condition. The weight room and equipment are well-maintained and plentiful, and the range of offerings goes well beyond what you'd expect. Whether you're there for a serious workout or something more social, there's something here for you. If you're new to the area or just looking for a fitness home that feels like a community rather than a commercial operation, the Desert Foothills Family YMCA deserves your first visit — and probably your membership.

My husband and I love using the E-Gym - although we do need to get back in the routine of going a couple times a week.

I use the Egym circuit training program. A complete workout targeting all major muscle groups in 22 minutes using 12 different machines. Friendly and helpful staff and positive and happy spirits from other members. I've recommended Desert Foothills Y to others. I'm glad I joined!
