  • Now my children have been kicked out effective immediately with no care about our requirements, our work or our childcare that is paid to them. Horrible place. Please consider better care for your children. At this point my kids are still attending as I currently receive assistance through DES and we HAVE to make money to support our family as well as fufill DES obligations however this place is out of control. This morning I was told I need to change my child's diaper as she pooped on the 30 minute drive to daycare. I was told by the teacher AND the owner the children are not changed while they are outside "they just have to wait a few minutes". These children are outside an hour so when our children poop they are not change for over an hour then I am wondering why my childrens butts are bleeding with horrible rashes. These people called DCS on our family because my husband grabbed our 3 year old hair to keep him from taking off AGAIN. Told them a whole bunch of lies including my kids are not fed at home because they eat to much at daycare(specifically the report said daycare soooo). We have unreal expectations of our children according to this daycare yet after my one year old has been mercilessly attacked and bitten in this daycare SOOOOO many times tothe point she has bleed now she is biting at times so they send her home and we as parents have to not handle our requirements because the daycare has unrealistic expectations of one year old who have been taught a behavior at this daycare. Our 3 year old who does have severe social/emotional problems got a GIANT lump and bruise on his forehead and I was told he was hiding under the table as he does and hit his head when standing up by the person who called me but then got a written note saying he was playing and then all of a sudden slammed him head on the ground without anything else happening. We asked to view the footage which we were ignored for 24 hours then we finally got a response saying ok. We went to view the footage and none of what we were told was the truth but my son was playing and running with NOBODY around and I was told when we watched the video "it was nap time the teachers were busy with the other children and he was running around until his bus showed up to take him to school. So him and another child were just doing whatever. I was asked yesterday if I could just meet the school bus in the afternoons to get him and then come back for the other kids because my son is just to much. But they are supposed to be professionals and they get paid to take care of our children so us parents can work, take care of appointments and meet requirements for some things. Yet they expect us to leave early. Pick up early, drop off late, change butts at drop off if they happened to use the bathroom on our 30 minute drive but then when we pick up we have to change butts because they are just to busy and do not change butts when the kids are outside. Sounds to me like they expect parents to do everything while they are paid to help us out. Part the advertisement for this childcare is they provide dinner for busy parents who can not get dinner done before the kids get home yet it is complained about when the kids eat. My one year old is a chunky monkey and LOVES food so especially her will chow down. My 6 and 7 year old told us as we picked them up from daycare that one of the children was saying their daddy abuses them and her mommy said so. I guess this child has family who works for this daycare after I have done some investigating. I talked to the owner who denies everything. On paper and what this childcare offers sounds amazing but if you have a. If you have a choice stay clear of this place. They have very unreal expectations of you and your children. They lie. They do not change your childrens butts regularly. I am working with DCS and DES regarding this establishment and the things that have occurred as well as getting my children into a reputable childcare that will actually enjoy caring for children

  • Happy Trails Day Care has been an absolute blessing for our family. We are an out-of-town military family, and trusting others with our children was especially important to us. From the very beginning, the teachers and staff made us feel welcomed, supported, and at ease. The love and care the teachers show each child is truly unmatched. It’s clear this is more than just a job to them — they genuinely love the kids and treat them like their own. They are patient, nurturing, and incredibly attentive, always taking the time to comfort, encourage, and celebrate each child. Both of my sons attend Happy Trails and are excited to go every day. Knowing they are safe, loved, and well cared for gives us complete peace of mind, especially being away from family and home. We are so grateful for the amazing teachers at Happy Trails and highly recommend this daycare to any family in the Yuma area, especially other military families looking for a trustworthy and loving environment.

  • We absolutely love Happy Trails Day Care! Both of my sons attend here, and I truly cannot say enough good things about the staff and the environment they provide. From day one, they have made us feel welcomed, supported, and confident that our kids are safe and genuinely cared for. The teachers are kind, patient, and attentive, and it’s clear they truly love what they do. My boys are excited to go each day, which says everything. I appreciate how communicative and attentive the staff is, and how they treat each child like family. Happy Trails has been such a blessing for our family, and I’m so grateful to have found a place I trust with my children. I would highly recommend this daycare to any parent in the Yuma area looking for a loving, dependable, and nurturing environment.

  • Writing this with a heavy heart as today was our last day at Happy Trails. We are a military family and received orders to the East Coast. Happy Trails has been such a sweet experience. The staff there has been amazing, caring, supportive from the moment our babies first started daycare to today on our very last day. THANK YOU to Ms. Ruth & Ms. Fernanda, Vivi has grown so much in the last 7 months, her vocabulary has expanded, and her personality has blossomed. You all have been such a huge part in her growth by providing a safe and caring environment for her to play/learn in. THANK YOU to Ms. Jessica! Beau has absolutely grown into a fun loving, smart, active little toddler and has made so many friends with all the kiddos and staff! My husband and I are so grateful for everyone that has been part of our littles daily care. To the ladies at the front desk, THANK YOU for always greeting us with such excitement and kindness! You all set the tone for our littles each and everyday of the week! Thank you for showing me compassion as a first time momma! YOU ALL WILL BE MISSED! Thank you thank you- Amanda Mackey and Fam!

  • My son, Trevor, has been attending Happy Trails from the ages 3-5. There were many times when I picked him up and he wanted me to come back later because he was having a blast. I want to highlight the Staff. They truly go above and beyond for you and your children. Whether it's keeping you updated, making sure you receive mother's day gifts and crafts, offering enrollment to other siblings that may need care for long school breaks. I was able to go to work and have peace of mind knowing my child was taken care of with quality care. In the past 3 years my son attended Happy Trails they have continually Elevated Their facilities, resources, and amenities for your children. I love to see a business continually grow and move forward for the best future for families!

  • Happy Trails takes such good care of my 2 year old daughter. We brought her in after a more "budget friendly" day care had provided less than satisfactory care. Seeing as what the staff has done to care for her, and the other children, there is no other place to take your child. They do water play days in the summer, apply sunscreen, amd that is above checking your child every hour for wet or dirty diapers. Happy Trails can not be beat by any other day care facility in Yuma!
