We absolutely love the Montessori room! From the very beginning, the teachers and staff have been amazing , so kind, patient, and genuinely invested in each child’s growth. Our daughter has truly thrived here! She’s become more confident, independent, and curious, and she looks forward to going every single day. She literally gets upset when she is leaving school or when she doesn’t have school; which warms my heart so much that she loves her school! The Montessori environment is calm, engaging, and thoughtfully set up to help the children explore and learn at their own pace. The staff communicate so well with families and go above and beyond to make sure everyone feels supported. We especially appreciate the accommodations they made for our family it meant so much to us and really shows how much they care. We feel so lucky to have found such a nurturing and inspiring place for our daughter. Knowing she’s surrounded by such caring teachers and a positive learning environment gives us complete peace of mind. We can’t recommend MR enough!
Bonita BuffingtonOct 19, 2025I highly recommend Montessori Room. Both of my children attend this school. My daughter started in the infant room a year and a half ago. My daughter has sensory disabilities and physical disabilities that have kept her from meeting her milestones. She was moved up in the 2s classroom about 7 to 8 months ago where all the kids walked and shortly after started walking (she was 2 and a half). She used to have terrible breakdowns with any adult that wasn't dad and I. When she started going here she would not break down when I left her. The teachers have always gone over and beyond to tend to her and to make her feel safe, and stop her from having her breakdowns. Everyday I am in awe of the new things she learns and does. We were at another daycare before this one and we had a horrible experience. They would not accommodate for her disability. I called Karli (the owner) and had told her what we went through and if her school could accommodate to my daughters disability, which she said of course they can and have proven it time and time again. She has been apart of my daughters journey of tremendous growth, and has helped guide her in the direction she needs to go in. I put my son there 9 months ago and he has also shown so much progress and growth!! They are in the same class now and it has helped them become a lot closer and starting to play with one another! I am so grateful for Montessori Room!!
Alyssa AbbruzzioMar 5, 2025My son went here when he was 7 months old. We withdrew him around 13 months. I really did not want to put him through transitioning to a new school, but this place was so bad. 1.) The infant teachers and director always left him crying in his crib for over 45 minutes and said that he needed to learn to be independent. He would cry himself to sleep (sitting), only to wake up 2 min later and cry again. This was heartbreaking to watch on live camera. When I told them not to let him cry in the crib for more than 10 min, they stated all infants must be in the crib at 10am and 12pm so that the teachers can take breaks and reset the room. After that, they put the crib behind the camera where I couldn’t see him cry. 2.) I was watching the camera one day, and my husband dropped him off. He was sitting by himself across the room, crying on and off for over 2 hours in the same exact spot he was dropped off, while the teachers played with the other babies who were already content. No one even came to him. Other babies were left in their cribs, crying for over 30 min. 3.) He would scream and cry so loudly during diaper changes. Whatever they were doing, was traumatizing him. This behavior stopped within 1 week of withdrawing him. I can’t imagine what else they did behind the cameras. 4. They also turned on iPads for the infants to watch movies (illegal). For the whole 6 months he was there, he would cry every day at drop-off. I thought it was just his personality, but after only 3 days (2.5 hr/day) of attending his new Montessori school, he smiled and opened his arms for the teachers. That’s when we immediately withdrew him from this place. Find a better and more experienced/loving place for your babies! Update: I've been in the pediatric field for almost 10 years, so I definitely know babies are not allowed to sleep in the bouncers. The teachers put him in the bouncer to sleep from the beginning. It's fine if they were consistent with crib training; however, they were not. One day, if they felt like it, they would leave him to cry in the crib. The next day, they would put him in the bouncer to sleep. That's when I was fed up and told them no more crib. I worked on crib training at home and even taught the teachers strategies. They never used it. It took me only 3 nights to crib train him at home. As a healthcare professional, I would never tell a daycare staff to hold my baby to sleep. When you have concerns, they never listen to it. They just blame you or others. Very unprofessional!
Kim NguyenDec 4, 2024My daughter has been coming here for a little over a year now. There has been some frequent turnover with teachers since she stated but apart from that we have had great experience. All of her teachers have been so kind and she has learned so much. She is always so excited to get to school. Her current teacher Mrs. Dominga has truly been exceptional. She’s in the Spanish Emerson program and is thriving. We are greatful for Montessori room and the care they have provided to our girl.
Courtney IrustaSep 17, 2024I had two children that attended Montessori Room Anthem, and they had THE BEST time. They loved their teachers, and were excited to be at school. The school also offers camera access, so I was able to get on and watch the kiddos during the day when I wasn’t there.
Mehgan GriffinSep 2, 2024Only giving two stars because of Kayla (otherwise would be 1 star) who was moved out of my sons room with no notice. In theory, Montessori teaching works very well. But that would imply that there is actually teaching taking place. Kayla was great, she sent us pictures throughout the day and was very hands-on with all of her kids, not just mine There are, of course, a few exceptions with some of the workers, but the rest of the staff definitely needs attention. Their ratios were not true when it came to teacher/student, and there was virtually no curriculum. If you want your child to actually learn, and you are thinking of a Montessori style daycare facility, seek somewhere else. For what it’s worth, there were over five reviews that were one star. It would seem the owner has deleted them and posted false reviews, one of which is from an employee. This is not a learning facility, it is supervised play at best. I would not recommend this place overall.
