As both a Regional Director of Admissions and a Primrose parent, I wanted to share my honest perspective. I helped open the Primrose School of West Gilbert from the very beginning, but I’m writing this review as a mom. My son started in the infant program when we first opened our doors and just graduated from Pre-K. Watching him grow over the past four and a half years has only reinforced what I already believed about this school. What truly sets Primrose West Gilbert apart is the culture. It genuinely feels like family. Some of my closest friends today are parents I met through the school, and many of our children have grown up together, forming friendships that will last well beyond these early years. The love, warmth, and care our teachers pour into these children every single day is something you can’t find just anywhere. They celebrate every milestone, provide comfort during the hard moments, and create an environment where children feel safe, confident, and deeply loved. The curriculum is outstanding, but it’s the people who make this place so special. My son has grown academically, socially, and emotionally in ways that have exceeded every expectation I had as a parent. While I know I may be a little biased because I helped build this school, I can honestly say that choosing Primrose for my own child has been one of the best decisions our family has ever made. I will always be grateful for the teachers, staff, and community who have loved my son so well.
Sheena ElkinJul 6, 2026Hello. I do not have a child in this school nor do I have a vested interest, however I am of the motto “if you see something, say something”, and I’d want to know if my child were in this person’s care. The location off of Val Vista and Baseline is on my walking path a few times each week. I walk past the playground that backs up to a business park, and today (Friday 5/21 around 11 am) I was shocked at what I witnessed. A brunette young woman who was looking after the kids was yelling so loudly that even with my ear buds in I could hear her before taking them out. I understand it can be stressful to manage several young kids, however she was not simply speaking firmly, she was yelling with a harsh degrading tone of resentment that sounded like she truly does not like children or her job. As a parent and a mother who has volunteered many hours in school, my heart truly broke for the children being spoken down to. My motherly instincts were to speak up in the moment, but I did not want to escalate anything in front of the children. Last week there was a really nice worker who was outside laughing and playing with the kids. Perhaps the gal today needs mentoring on how to manage a large group of children while still being nice. My hopes is that this somehow is helpful.
Holls MeowMeowMay 23, 2026We were in a really tough spot when we stumbled upon Primrose. Our son’s daycare had been shut down immediately with no warning to families(financial issues no one knew of) and we were left stuck. We called Primrose, got a tour same day, and was even able to enroll our son next day. He comes home saying he likes his new “school”, that his teachers are happy and he’s making new friends. He always mentions a teacher Everly, who’s obviously doing good enough for a two year old to remember her in such a kind way!
Kaylyn JohnsonFeb 27, 2026Our family has been extremely pleased with our experience at Primrose of West Gilbert. Both of our daughters have attended, and they have absolutely loved the teachers, staff, and owners. Everyone is welcoming and genuinely cares about the kids, and our girls have truly enjoyed the curriculum and teaching style - they are always excited to go to school. We especially appreciate all of the thoughtful extras the staff provides, including Cookie Friday, anniversary celebrations with treats, the Halloween Parade, Spring Festival, Trunk or Treat, Holiday Festival, and more. It’s the small things that really go above and beyond and make families feel confident in their decision to send their children here. When our oldest daughter started Kindergarten at Mesa Public Schools, her teacher was impressed with how much she already knew and even asked where she had attended preschool and Pre-K. That spoke volumes about the strong academic foundation she received at Primrose. We couldn’t be happier with the way the owners and staff make every family feel like part of the Primrose community. I would highly recommend Primrose to any family looking for a quality, well-rounded daycare and preschool for their children.
Stephen HatleyFeb 11, 2026We love Primrose. We love the staff. We love the teachers. Primrose is always clean and neat. They know each kiddo and family. The classes are educational plus inviting and interesting. We love Primrose.
Nance DaleyFeb 6, 2026Our daughter started preschool at Primrose and we have had nothing but an incredible experience! Their attention to detail in each kid cannot go unnoticed. I love receiving updates throughout the day but what makes Primrose stand out is the updates on the curriculum. It really helps me to understand what our daughter is learning in the classroom and what we can continue to work on at home. They have been the best extension of family for us.
