I just can’t say enough good things about Wirtzie’s. They are so much more than a daycare. My now 2.5 yr old has been attending here since she was 3 mos old and she is absolutely thriving. We love their intergenerational program, the Montessori based play/curriculum and clean facilities. But the real heart of Wirtzie’s lies in their staff. My daughter adores every teacher she has had and has different bonds with them all. I especially appreciate the fun & creative lessons they do in the Toddler class and how they communicate what they are learning so we can reinforce them at home as well. There’s no greater peace of mind than knowing your child is loved, challenged, celebrated, and genuinely excited to walk through the doors each day.
Melissa PhillipsMay 7, 2026I highly recommend Wirtzies, they have amazing teachers and directors. My son had only been watched by my family so when he first started they helped make his transition so easy, heart warming and the teachers in preschool really took the time to get him accustomed to school setting. Denise, Laly, Halie, and Daniel, Sara, Diane, great work you do. My son loves the Intergenerational program, they have fun activities and he gets to learn how to be caring, gentle with elders. Thank you
Jeannette ArreolaMay 7, 2026We are so lucky we found Wirtzie's! They really checked all the boxes we were looking for when started looking for child care and now 3 years later we can't see ourselves anywhere else. The teachers truly care for my daughter and keep great communication. The admin do a wonderful job keeping everything running smoothly and Chance at the front desk always makes you feel so welcomed.
Jenny RobertsMay 6, 2026My son started coming here around the holidays last year and has learned so much since being here. He is our first child so we were afraid to have someone other than family take care of him, but now it has naturally become part of our family’s routine to have him here. Miss Linda, Miss Elise, and Miss Diann are our favorite teachers and have the perfect balance of love and care for our son while also helping him learn tough life lessons that will help him be an outstanding little human. I interact with Miss Elise the most during my pickups with my son, and she always has so much to tell me about how my son’s day went without me even asking, and I can just truly tell that she cares so much for his development. My boyfriend interacts with Miss Linda the most during drop offs and always makes sure Kaison is ready to learn for the day and helps my boyfriend feel comfortable dropping him off, even on the harder days when our son is sad to see us leave. Miss Diann has always been so helpful with any questions or concerns we have and has helped our family with several opportunities that have benefited us greatly. Thank you Wirtzie’s for allowing my family to continue to pursue our careers while our son continues to develop with the help of your staff!
Carissa JacksonMay 6, 2026Edit2: 0 to 1 classes were awesome. I picked up my son dehydrated one day from the 2 yr old class after he had been there for 8 hours with only 1 wet diaper (no BMs). I immediately gave him Pedialyte when we got home (5 minutes away). I sent him with his own cup but they gave him a water bottle that was not age appropriate instead (per my visit the prior week). He drank about 9 ounces within 15 minutes. They offered him water the rest of the week and the issue never repeated itself. They have treated me differently since I brought up this issue. The director sent me texts each time they offered him water for the rest of the week (or most of it) in retaliation/response but did not continue the following week. This is because I planned to drop by 1-2 times to observe each day to ensure my son was drinking water out of concern. I was told that they have an open door policy, but it could disrupt the class. My (original) prior issue is mainly with the Director (former Asst.): My child was bit by another child in his class (12-24 months) twice (same child) during lunch prep both times. Bite 1: I saw he didn't eat his lunch on the app, and he loves what was served that day so I knew something wasn't right intuitively. I went to check on him and he was asleep so I didn't stick around. Everyone said he was okay. This was about 1-2 hours after he'd been bitten - NO ONE told me. I found out at the end of the day. Luckily, the bite didn't break the skin. Bite 2: I didn't suspect anything and didn't find out until I picked him up. However, the bite broke the skin. No nurse checked on his bite and I was not notified early enough to schedule an appointment that day with his doctor. Best practices state that I should be notified immediately since it broke the skin. I called his doctor first thing in the morning and scheduled an appointment that afternoon. I let Wirtzie's team know I'd be checking him out and may bring him back after his appointment. Even though his doctor's appointment was related to the bite, I was told I may be unable to take him back to the school after his appointment because that's when they start sending teachers home for the day and they may not have a high enough teacher:student ratio - even though I notified them ahead of time. He required antibiotics and a vaccine due to the bite since it broke the skin. When I went to pick up his bag (decided to keep him with me to spoil him a bit after his appointment), the assistant director made it a point to tell me they need a note with the stage of walking he is at since he's over 18 months and not walking yet. I'm still confused on what they want from a medical perspective because this doesn't make any practical sense especially considering his teachers can visually see how well he is walking when he is at school. Also, HIPAA protects me from having to share his medical information. (They have had him in the Wobblers class unofficially for the last 2-3 months and I had to beg for him to be added to the class in the app after the first biting incident so I could be notified if he were injured again. It didn't make a difference.) All of a sudden, the day after the biting incident, it's an issue that he doesn't have a doctor's note explaining why he hasn't started walking on his own yet even though his doctor is unconcerned and his teachers are unconcerned. I asked for a letter to provide the doctor with more or less stating the info the school was requesting and was told by the Assistant Director that they didn't have to provide me with a note and therefore would not provide me with one. The child that bit my son is still allowed to attend the school. This sounds super sketchy to me and also like retaliation, so in addition to posting this here, I've also filed a formal complaint. Edit September 2025: So far, he hasn't been bitten again. The school, with direction from DHS, helped to create the IP my son needed. Pretty much as soon as it was signed, my son started walking. Going forward, the school knows how to handle these paperwork issues thankfully.
Lori H.Jul 10, 2025My boys went to Wirtzie's for 3 years and we absolutely loved it. The teachers are so loving and kind. I absolutely loved that they are connected with the seniors and had dedicated days for the children to visit with 'grandmas and grandpas'. This is a special child care center and I highly recommend them!
