What California does not publish here

The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

  • We’ve had an amazing experience with this school. My son started at age two and will be graduating from their kindergarten program this year. The teachers and director are all so kind, warm, and caring. They’ve created a nurturing environment where children can truly learn and grow. We’ve seen so much development in our son during his time here. The summer program is also wonderful. We highly recommend this school to any family looking for a supportive and enriching place for their child.

  • Our daughter has been attending Angel’s since October 2022, when she was 2 years old. She is now completing TK there, and our overall experience has been fantastic. If you want the short version: this school is amazing, and you truly can’t go wrong sending your child here. School Environment The school is exceptionally clean, organized, and well maintained. Over the years, they’ve invested in meaningful upgrades—new windows, AC, lighting, and more. The director takes great pride in creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for the children, and it really shows. Staff & Support The staff is wonderful. Our daughter especially loved her teachers—Ms. Patty, Ms. Terri, and Ms. Vanessa. Angel’s is one of the few preschools that will actively partner with you on potty training. Our daughter wasn’t ready until after her first year, and the teachers approached the process thoughtfully. They let us know when they felt she was ready, worked closely with us, and made the entire experience smooth and positive. When the inevitable bumps and bruises happen, the staff is excellent about informing parents and taking appropriate corrective action. We always felt our daughter was safe, cared for, and supported. Academics The academic program is outstanding. We were amazed by how much our daughter was learning—so much so that we found ourselves googling things she told us just to confirm they were true! The school teaches through hands‑on, creative projects that blend science, art, and play. One example: she created her own butterfly life cycle—from egg to caterpillar to chrysalis to butterfly—drawing and assembling each stage herself. By TK, she is already reading level‑2 books and doing basic addition and subtraction. We have friends who paid significantly more for preschool elsewhere, and Angel’s has prepared our daughter just as well—if not better—for kindergarten and beyond. Kindergarten & Private School Readiness We decided to pursue private school for our daughter, and Angel’s supported us throughout the process, including writing recommendation letters. We’re thrilled to share that we had multiple private school options to choose from, and she will be attending Chandler School in Pasadena. All in all, sending our daughter to Angel’s was one of the best decisions we’ve made. I highly recommend this school.

  • This review is long overdue for Angel Montessori School and the incredible staff who have truly shaped my son’s early learning journey. Deciding on a good, quality school is stressful enough. My son has been at Angels for less than a year, but in that short time, his growth has far surpassed my expectations. Friends and family often comment on how impressed they are with his cognitive and intellectual abilities. They helped me potty-train him, supported us through his speech therapy, and by the age of three, he was already writing his full name. While we work with him at home, I know that so much of his progress and advanced learning is thanks to this amazing school. If you’re considering enrolling your child, I can’t recommend Angel Montessori enough. My only regret is not enrolling him sooner.

  • My daughter attended Angels Montessori almost a decade ago and is currently an honors middle school student. I feel this review is long overdue and hope this will provide prospective parents an informed decision because selecting a child care center/preschool is a truly daunting experience. We recently have a new addition to the family and currently going through the child care research trenches yet again. We have moved out of the area so Angels Montessori is no longer an option for us, but I can only hope my review can provide other parents peace of mind. The school provided a safe, nurturing and educational foundation for my child as well as nutritious meals and catered lesson plans. My daughter and I still recall many of the truly enriching experiences this school provided such as recitals, group storytimes and the Halloween parades. From learning all the continents to even basic Spanish, Angels made learning fun and retainable. Not once did I feel apprehension when dropping off my child. All I hear are horror stories about children being abused by staff and bullying or negligence with other child care centers. But other reviews will echo mine in that you would be leaving your child in good hands here at Angels Montessori.

  • We can’t say enough good things about Angel's Montessori Preschool! Our son started there at two and loved it until he was six. The teachers were amazing and created a super supportive environment. The education he received really set him up for success! As first-time parents, we were so grateful for the help with things like potty training. The staff made everything easier and our son always felt safe and engaged. He loved school so much that he often wished he could stay all day! One of the best parts was the healthy meals, which introduced him to all kinds of flavors. Plus, they really helped him navigate his emotions and improve his fine motor skills. Every day, he came home with a big smile, excited to share what he learned! The summer camp was a blast, with activities like making “ocean in a bottle,” bubble shows, and even visits from an animal farm. We felt so comfortable with Melina and the staff—they genuinely cared about our son’s growth. We highly recommend Angel's Montessori Preschool to any family looking for a truly exceptional early childhood education experience.

  • Our daughter started at this preschool when she was just 2 years old, and I can confidently say it was one of the best decisions we made for her early development. As first-time parents putting our toddler into preschool, we were naturally anxious—but those worries quickly disappeared thanks to the warm, welcoming, and incredibly supportive environment created by the school and especially Ms. Melina, the director. From day one, Ms. Melina and other teachers showed such genuine care and attention, not just to our daughter, but to every child in the program. Her calm, kind demeanor immediately put us at ease, and we could tell she truly understood early childhood development. She took the time to understand our daughter’s personality, gently helped her transition into the new routine, and communicated with us regularly to keep us updated on her progress and day-to-day experiences. The curriculum was well-balanced with plenty of play, hands-on learning, music, and outdoor time. We noticed such positive changes in our daughter—from her social skills to her language development and confidence. She would come home happy, singing songs, sharing stories, and looking forward to the next day. We always felt the school was clean, safe, and well-organized, with a strong sense of community. The teachers were thoughtful and attentive, and we could see they genuinely enjoyed being around the children. We’re so grateful for the love, care, and foundation this school has given our daughter. Huge thanks to Ms. Melina and the entire team—you made a lasting impression on our family, and we will always look back on this time with appreciation and joy. Highly recommend this preschool to any parent looking for a safe, loving, and enriching early education experience.
