What California does not publish here
The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

My 2.5 year old has been here almost a year and it’s great - prices are low because it’s a non profit with no impact to quality. They follow the state recommended curriculum, they have a lean (but effective) administrative team, and the teachers have long tenure there from what I’ve seen. Just wish they took <18 months!
Olivia HanJan 26, 2026Such a welcoming staff and teachers. My daughter is always greeted when coming in. Her teachers welcomed her and made her feel loved and special even when she was having a tough time adjusting. You can tell these teachers are highly educated and care about the children and their well being. They even provide nutritious snacks and lunches everyday. I’m so grateful for the wonderful education my preschooler is receiving here. 10/10 highly recommend.
Christina BrighamJul 25, 2023I'll list the PROS and CONS below. This is a nonprofit school that is great with children. My sister had her children go there 8 years ago. Now both my children go there and I'm very happy. So are they ☺️ PRO -Facility: clean and very secure. -Location: In the pocket/greenhaven. Parking lot is huge since it shares with the church. Tucked in but within walking distance of bus stops, grocery stores and restaurants. -Security: 2 separate play area that are fenced in. There's keypad lock entry, multiple security cameras inside and outside. Teachers have walkie talkies, there's a front desk and the director's office is near the entrance. Staff is routinely checked on for support. Multiple secure exits for emergencies. -Food:Theres 2 stovetop ovens to make hot nutritious meals in 1 of 2 kitchens. Children sometimes help prepare the foods like cutting cookies. Monthly menu printed out for parents. My daughter never liked salads before, but now she enjoys them. -Teachers and staff: All teachers are certified. They are friendly, trustworthy and extremely adaptable to unique situations from working with therapists to special diets. Staff also very friendly and helpful. Every few days, teacher Valorie updates the parents of her class via 'remind' app of what the children did that day and what are the future planned activities will be. -Classrooms: very large rooms with multiple activity and play areas. Every child has individual storage cubbies and sleeping nap mats. -Bathrooms: Every classroom has 2 bathrooms with children sinks and children toilets. Children height Soap & paper towel dispensers encourage them to wash hands after using the bathroom. Teachers are able to monitor children using the bathroom without ever having to leave the classroom and activities are not interrupted because 1 child has to use the bathroom. -Education: structured setting with encouragement of Independence and creativity. Also teaches about God and the Bible. They have weekly education plans that are catered to the children. I love how excited my children are bringing home projects or talking about school. From pet insects to discovering oceans and forests, there's always something new each day. To help measure their individual progress, angels nest uses the QRI system. -Playground: 2 separately fenced play areas. 1 has 2 large playsets and other one has 1 miniature playset. They are in the process of building another large playset area. -Technology: computerized check-in. They use remind app to communicate between teachers and parents. Credit card tuition payment computer station. But for those who are not tech savvy, they also have paper check in, paper calenders/activity/project/meal updates. They also accept checks and have payment drop boxes. -Price: very affordable & lowest in the area because it's a nonprofit. Cooked meals included with tuition. Church also helps supplement with scholarships and donations. The school hosts occasional fundraisers like crab feed, parents night out, etc. There's a Sibling discount and Church member discount if you choose to become a member of Greenhaven church (which is not required). They accept child action for parents who need assistance with child care. I've checked other schools/daycare like Montessori, Merryhill, kinder Care, forever Friends, etc. Unlike some of the other daycare/schools, there's no material fees, no meal fees, no uniform costs, no ridiculous high priced application fees or expensive tuition fees. Overall, this is the best bang for your buck without any sacrifice on quality. How do they do it? One word: Nonprofit. They put the money back into the teachers, supplies, children, etc. They won't charge more than what's needed vs other daycares where profit requires high cost and fees. CON Age limit: They only take children 2 and up. I had to wait til my daughter turned 2 before I could take her here. I wish one day they choose to be licensed to take infants so parents can have their little ones enjoy the benefits from such a great school.

Questions parents ask about ANGEL'S NEST PRESCHOOL
Is ANGEL'S NEST PRESCHOOL a licensed child care provider in California?
- Yes. ANGEL'S NEST PRESCHOOL holds California licence 343606952, currently listed as "LICENSED" by the Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division, first issued on September 18, 2001. Confirm current standing with the agency before enrolling.
What kind of child care licence does ANGEL'S NEST PRESCHOOL hold?
- California licenses ANGEL'S NEST PRESCHOOL as a day care center, a category that covers preschool-age children in a centre-based programme. The category comes from the state's own licence record, not from the provider.
How many children can ANGEL'S NEST PRESCHOOL care for?
- ANGEL'S NEST PRESCHOOL is licensed for up to 60 children at one time. Licensed capacity is a ceiling set by the state, not a count of current enrolment or of available places.
How often has California inspected ANGEL'S NEST PRESCHOOL?
- California records 3 inspection visits to ANGEL'S NEST PRESCHOOL, the most recent on June 30, 2026 and the earliest on record August 1, 2023. The state publishes the dates of these visits but not what they found, so this count reflects licensing activity, not results. Read the findings themselves in California's own facility search.
Has California visited ANGEL'S NEST PRESCHOOL in response to a complaint?
- California records 1 complaint-driven visit to ANGEL'S NEST PRESCHOOL. A complaint visit means someone raised a concern and the state went to look. California does not publish what those visits found, so the count on its own does not say whether any concern was upheld.
Who holds the licence for ANGEL'S NEST PRESCHOOL?
- The licence is held by GREENHAVEN LUTHERAN CHURCH. California lists the licensee separately from the facility name, so the two often differ. The facility is in Sacramento County.
