What California does not publish here
The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

Office staff want you to come in for EVERYTHING, even as an online student. They never return phone calls or emails. I am a working adult, why do I have to take time out of MY day to see people whose jobs are to answer emails and phone calls and they don't even do that? I don't get off of work until after their office hours! I'm screwed if I need help with ANYTHING because they won't just answer the phone.
Elle SuarezJul 15, 2026God forbid you need help with classes or anything that has to do with trying to succeed they treat you like scum. No one is ever available and when they finally get to you they assume you are a horrible student without looking at your grades.I know the Antelope Valley is lower income but come on!! People deserve better.
Luisa LepeJun 23, 2026I called the counselors office to make an appointment today to decide if I wanted to apply. Prior to this call, I spent an hour trying to verify my ID to get into the application portal. The receptionist was so nice but the "rapid counselor" was shockingly nasty and unhelpful. So the receptionist said I had to have already applied to the school in order to make an appointment with a counselor. So asked who do I talk to for some general information about transfers, prereqs, and timelines to help me decide if I want to apply because Id have to pay to have transcripts issed here. The receptionist transfered me to a rapid counselor. I spoke to the rudest, most condesending, unhelpful, passive aggressive person I've encountered in years. Think the old stereotypes about the DMV empolyees. The point of everything out this woman's mouth was differnt ways of saying no, I don't want to. Along the lines of; I can't say, thats not my job, it's not our issue, you're doing it wrong, (but she can't tell me the right way). She couldn't even help with basic questions about transfer credits. She can't help me with ANYTHING untill I apply. But she can't help me log into the application page, but she keeps repeating the URL for some reason, even though I already confirmed it's the one I'm on trying to log into. She can't help with the verification issue or tell me who can. In fact; she doesn't believe me that their is a vertication process at all. Then realizes that there is, so she jumps strategy. Now, she doesn't believe that I'm having a problem with the website. It must be my fault, or another website's fault. Honestly the whole exchange was bizarre. This went from a top contender school to an absolutely never school based on the clearly beaten down staff.
HeatherMar 20, 2026This place is a clown show. The faculty is almost entirely made up of students, and it shows. The professors are all cartoon characters. Fun fact, if an instructor was good, they wouldn't be teaching at AVC
Mark DavenportFeb 22, 2026I went to AVC today to seek assistance for enrollment for my disabled grandson and the Student Services receptionist was extremely rude. I really wish I would have gotten her name. It was Friday, 2/20/26 around 0930 am to help narrow down this individual. She spoke to me as if I wasn't a valuable human being seeking enrollment help. She was very dismissive and did not provided adequate information on enrollment. She truly seemed unhappy. I went to another receptionist who was very pleasant and accommodating providing proper guidance. I do not believe people who hate their jobs should interact with the public. ACV standards for employees are very low and my first impression is affected.
Majestic FieldsFeb 20, 2026Let me start by saying the campus is very nice and clean! The admissions and financial aid staff, on the other hand, is pretty much useless. They are decently friendly, but it seems like no one at the desk is ever authorized to actually do anything aside from taking your info down and saying they’ll reach out to you (no one ever reaches out, by the way, shocker). I’ve visited over 8-10 times in the last 5 months, and the "higher-ups" are always out of the office or in meetings—every single time. I applied in August 2025 and it took 2 weeks and 3 visits just for them to even find my application because it supposedly got "filed into spam." Most CCs take 48 hours MAX. Because of that "spam incident," my financial aid was severely delayed. Even though I’m a California native, they flagged me as a non-resident and said they needed my official high school transcripts to prove it. Contacting LAUSD for transcripts is a nightmare and takes 3-4 months, but the admissions supervisor gave me a verbal green light to take my Fall classes anyway. She promised they would backdate the waiver and clear the non-resident tuition once the transcripts arrived. I finally brought my transcripts in today, and now they’re saying it’s 50/50 if the dean will even honor that since the Fall semester is already over. To make it worse, the dean has been out for the last 2 days and they had no idea when she’d even be back. They refused to even schedule an in person appointment with her for me. I even offered to set it for this Friday or even weeks out and told them they could just call to cancel if she wasn’t in, and they still said no. If someone is going to be out indefinitely, they need to bring in someone else to fill in and handle their responsibilities! I understand things and emergencies happen, but there is still business to be handled. Now they’re saying they can guarantee Spring will be cleared, but I can’t enroll in any classes until the $500 Fall balance is paid. What sense does that make?? Had I known this would happen, I never would’ve enrolled for Fall, but I trusted the supervisor’s word. I’m beyond disappointed. The staff is friendly, but they need a new chain of command if the bosses are always gone. It shouldn’t be this hard to better my future. I’m now pursuing enrollment at another college because I can’t deal with this faulty system anymore. Advice to future students: save yourself the headache and explore other schools if you can. If you do happen to end up here DO NOT take verbal promises here. Get everything time-stamped and in writing or you’ll end up stuck with a bill you weren't expecting.
