Our first child joined Arbor a couple of years ago and because we loved her experience (and ours), we now have our 2nd kiddo at Arbor. The play yard has many beautiful large trees, is spacious and includes a sand box, 2 play structures, a climbing dome and lots of space for little legs to run around. Inside, the Arbor team has created a beautiful and inviting setting for children to engage with each other and open ended toys - wooden play kitchen, dolls, dress up clothes, blocks, books, etc. Each morning the kids arrive to see new “stations” for them to explore like stamps, sensory station, painting with tin cans, puzzles and more! We love that the days are child led but still have some structure to them (ie, circle time, story time, snack time etc) The teachers are the best part of the school. They are patient, kind, loving and truly make this school one of a kind. They take the time to understand each child’s personalities and the best way to support their growth. If you have an opportunity to tour the school and check it out, I highly recommend it!
Onnie LangbeinMay 28, 2026We are about to wrap up my son’s second year at Arbor, Berkeley location. We toured several preschools and once we got to this one, I knew it was it. It’s located in the hills and is quite serene and peaceful. The staff are structured yet flexible and create a friendly, playful, easy going environment. We value nature and play for our son, and that matches quite perfectly with what Arbor offers. If you are looking for a strict academic curriculum, this isn’t for you. The teachers are incredible and really get to know and understand each child, and make adaptations when possible to fit the child’s needs. Our son now knows Spanish which is incredible to witness. They also do many art activities each week and integrate music as well. They offer healthy snacks which is a plus. We will be sad to leave this community next year but plan to send our daughter there when she’s old enough. Highly recommend!

They have adapted to her personality and give her the care she needs, while staying in close communication with us, which makes us feel like a team. I find the notes on the nap times, what they did each day, the weekly newsletters, and the conference to be very helpful. We will be returning for a second year!
Mariam MalikMay 11, 2026Our whole family loves Arbor. Our son started at 2.5 because he has a late birthday and we truly wish we could have started sooner! The teachers are so caring and thoughtful. They really get to know all the students and families, which creates a really lovely community. Our son came home this week stating he wants to be a teacher - truly a testament to Arbor and the great experience he is having. We could not be happier and are looking forward to coming back next year.

She started at just over 2, and we were nervous about her being on the younger side — but the teachers walked us through their developmental approach and were incredibly patient as she transitioned to a full school day. They quickly became her favorite part of school, alongside the wonderful play yard, hands-on activities, music class, and the thoughtful events they put on. We couldn’t be happier at Arbor!
ashley netzbandApr 22, 2026We love Arbor! Our son has the best time here and loves the creative activities that the teachers organize. He also loves that it’s all weather so he can play outside every day even when it’s raining. The teachers are very collaborative and care about the kids so much.
