What California does not publish here

The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

  • Both of my daughters attended and one still attends BPC. Without a doubt it is one of the best decisions my wife and I have made for our children’s education. With an excellent staff and a great learning atmosphere BPC is an excellent choice.

  • My daughter attended this preschool for two years. We all absolutely loved it. I love how hands on it lets parents be and all the amazingly cool things kids get to do! Fieldtrips every month. Holidays are super fun. Kids have a vegetable garden in the back and pets in the classroom. The teachers are so warm and loving and attentive. We put her in this school because she was what I felt delayed on speech. Her doctor didn't say that but I felt that way and she has learned so much and just grown a lot. It's also super affordable ❤️❤️ love all the BPC staff❤️

Yes. BAKERSFIELD PLAY CENTER, INC holds California licence 150400032, currently listed as "LICENSED" by the Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division, first issued on November 17, 1977. Confirm current standing with the agency before enrolling.

What kind of child care licence does BAKERSFIELD PLAY CENTER, INC hold?

California licenses BAKERSFIELD PLAY CENTER, INC as a day care center, a category that covers preschool-age children in a centre-based programme. The category comes from the state's own licence record, not from the provider.

How many children can BAKERSFIELD PLAY CENTER, INC care for?

BAKERSFIELD PLAY CENTER, INC is licensed for up to 50 children at one time. Licensed capacity is a ceiling set by the state, not a count of current enrolment or of available places.

How often has California inspected BAKERSFIELD PLAY CENTER, INC?

California records 3 inspection visits to BAKERSFIELD PLAY CENTER, INC, the most recent on August 15, 2025 and the earliest on record February 24, 2022. Has California visited BAKERSFIELD PLAY CENTER, INC in response to a complaint?

California records no complaint-driven visits to BAKERSFIELD PLAY CENTER, INC. That means no concern prompted a visit on the public record, which is not the same as a clean inspection history: the state does not publish what its visits found.

Who holds the licence for BAKERSFIELD PLAY CENTER, INC?

The licence is held by BAKERSFIELD PLAY CENTER, INC. California lists the licensee separately from the facility name, so the two often differ. The facility is in Kern County.
