What California does not publish here

The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

  • A real person does not often answer the incoming phone calls. In March 2025 i was transferred to an extension where again nobody picked up. It is not very good.

  • Excellent nonprofit helping intellectually challenged individuals learn life skills and more.

  • My sister attends BCR in Burbank and of all the programs she has attended thus far in Los Angeles, BCR has proven the finest. I say this because their focus is entirely built upon instilling the skills and training necessary for adults with disabilities to become self-sufficient. The only struggle we have is transportation to BCR as we don’t reside in Burbank and commute there daily because we believe in this program. My sister is so happy at BCR because she is learning to do things on her own and we are ever so grateful and could not recommended this program enough.

  • Their staff are extremely rude and standoffish. When calling them, they treat all questions as invasive attacks and refuse to provide even the most general of information. This was strange, since I was interested in learning if my brother could benefit from their programs. Their director of program services Sarah Nitsico, when emailed, reached out to my university and falsely accused me of "fraudulently impersonating someone with a disabled relative." Despite my best efforts to explain the truth to her, she has refused to so much as apologize for her actions. To think asking some general questions as an interested, potential client is grounds for such treatment, makes me worry how the actual people under their care are treated. There are far better options out there, and the BCR needs major fundamental changes before I begin to consider giving them my business again.

  • Program for Special Needs. Both children and adults. They have activities for every ability. They go out often: baseball, movies, music, dances. VERY friendly people. I can't say enough!

  • This is a great place for training events. They have a day program as well. Friendly staff. Five stars.

Questions parents ask about BRIDGING COMMUNITY RESOURCES

Is BRIDGING COMMUNITY RESOURCES a licensed child care provider in California?

Yes. BRIDGING COMMUNITY RESOURCES holds California licence 197403133, currently listed as "CLOSED" by the Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division, first issued on December 30, 1996. Confirm current standing with the agency before enrolling.

What kind of child care licence does BRIDGING COMMUNITY RESOURCES hold?

California licenses BRIDGING COMMUNITY RESOURCES as a school age day care center, a category that covers school-age children outside school hours. The category comes from the state's own licence record, not from the provider.

How many children can BRIDGING COMMUNITY RESOURCES care for?

BRIDGING COMMUNITY RESOURCES is licensed for up to 36 children at one time. Licensed capacity is a ceiling set by the state, not a count of current enrolment or of available places.

How often has California inspected BRIDGING COMMUNITY RESOURCES?

California records 1 inspection visit to BRIDGING COMMUNITY RESOURCES, the most recent on October 12, 2023. The state publishes the dates of these visits but not what they found, so this count reflects licensing activity, not results. Read the findings themselves in California's own facility search.

Has California visited BRIDGING COMMUNITY RESOURCES in response to a complaint?

California records no complaint-driven visits to BRIDGING COMMUNITY RESOURCES. That means no concern prompted a visit on the public record, which is not the same as a clean inspection history: the state does not publish what its visits found.

Who holds the licence for BRIDGING COMMUNITY RESOURCES?

The licence is held by BRIDGING COMMUNITY RESOURCES. California lists the licensee separately from the facility name, so the two often differ. The facility is in Los Angeles County.
