What California does not publish here

The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

  • Our daughter joined Building Kidz this January at 2.5 years old, and my only regret is that we didn’t enroll her sooner. The transition was handled with so much care. Ms. Wendy, Ms. Ritje, and the early morning teachers (Ms. Ayash and the 4s teacher) gave her the 1:1 attention she needed. She went from crying at drop off to begging to stay within just two weeks! The bond they’ve formed is sweet. Ms. Wendy even does our daughter’s hair in various styles- braids, ponytails, you name it. It’s reached the point where she doesn’t even want me to do her hair in the morning anymore. She insists on waiting for Ms. Wendy to do it! It’s those extra mile moments that make this place feel like family. Ms. Wendy and Ms. Ritje have decades of experience, and it shows. They truly meet every child where they are. Since starting, the floodgates have opened with our daughter's speech. She is now speaking in full sentences and is so much more articulate. We’ve also seen her recognize numbers 0-10 and starting on her letters. One of the biggest wins has been potty training. The school implemented a consistent plan that we followed at home, and the peer modeling approach (learning from other kids) worked wonders. She is now essentially potty trained thanks to their patience and repetition. We love the whole child and play based philosophy here. Communication is excellent with daily updates, photos, and videos. Knock on wood, we haven't been sent home for a sickness yet, but they are diligent about sending ill kids home to keep everyone safe. Huge thanks to the director, Brijeeta, Ms. Avni, and the entire staff for creating such a safe, creative, and nurturing environment!

  • My kid has been attending Building Kidz San Ramon since 18 months old, starting in the toddler class and now in the 2a class, and we’ve seen so much growth during this time. The program has helped my kid learn how to be part of a group, interact with other children, and explore new interests with curiosity and confidence. Music and dance are a big favorite, and the new science program has been really exciting as well. We also love seeing all the artwork, crafts, and early writing that come home. One thing that really stood out was potty training. Being around slightly older kids helped a lot, and when it was time to start, my kid picked it up very quickly. The teachers are incredibly warm and caring, and the environment truly encourages a love of learning. We feel very grateful for the experience our family has had at Building Kidz San Ramon.

  • My daughter has been at Building Kidz in San Ramon for 2 years now and has never said she wants to stay home... that's awesome to hear for a single dad like me :). There's always something going on which keeps her busy and learning. The teachers are great and she has learned so much over the years. And she loves the friends she's made! Highly recommend!

  • My daughter is starting her 2nd week at Building Kidz of San Ramon and if not for Ms.Mau , drop offs would be very difficult. At 18 months, my daughters exposure to adults have all been family, however Ms. Mau is the exception at this amazing facility with great teachers. Ms. Mau is very patient, professional, kind, and experienced. Before making a decision to join the Building Kidz family, it put my mind at ease seeing their 18 month teacher Ms.Mau interact and lead the toddlers during a facilities tour. She really embodies the mission and importance of early childhood education. It as only been a week in the classroom but I can see the change a classroom with structured lesson plans make on my daughter. We went from high chair feeding and assisted naps to solo feeds and self soothing nap times. My daughter now looks forward to seeing her teacher Ms. Mau at school. Thank you Ms. Mau for taking this first time worried parent and making the transition painless for my daughter and I. Look forward to the great daily communication and reports of my daughter’s progression.

  • Building Kidz San Ramon is amazing! I entrusted them as a first time mom with my daughter, who has absolutely thrived there. The entire staff is warm, welcoming and has a clear passion and love for helping our kids grow and learn. I receive daily updates and videos of my daughter which I love. Such peace of mind for a full time working mom. Not to mention the amazing shows they put on for the families each year. So, so wonderful. Thank you Building Kids San Ramon!

  • As a mom of twins—a boy and a girl who will be 5 this February—finding the "right" childcare has never been easy. Because of job relocations, we’ve moved around quite a bit, and this is our fourth daycare 😵‍💫. I can say without hesitation that this center has been the most meaningful and reassuring experience we’ve had. From the moment my children started here at age 3, the sincerity and genuine care shown to them EVERY.SINGLE.DAY has been nothing short of a gift. Mom guilt is very real, and trusting someone else with your children’s hearts, growth, and well-being is no small thing. Knowing my kids are loved, supported, and truly seen when they’re here has been a huge stress relief for me. What stands out most is the way the teachers, director and owner, partners with parents. Whenever one of my children has needed a little extra encouragement or a gentle push in a certain area, it has never felt one-sided. Instead, we collaborate—sharing strategies, tools, and resources—to support them together. That level of communication, care, and intentionality is rare and incredibly appreciated. My twins are growing not just academically, but emotionally and socially, and I truly believe that’s because of the environment this center creates. They feel safe, confident, and excited to learn—and as a parent, that means everything. We are so grateful for the dedication, compassion, and love poured into our children every day. Building Kidz of San Ramon has been a constant for our family during a life full of transitions, and I cannot recommend it highly enough to any parent searching for a place where their children will be genuinely cared for.
