Licensing visits on record
California records 0 routine inspection visits and no visits prompted by a complaint to BUILDING KIDZ OF SOUTH SAN JOSE.
What California does not publish here
The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

When choosing this school for my daughter, I really liked the atmosphere, the teachers and the idea of my daughter being in a Spanish Immersion school! Everything was going great! Until a couple months in, I started noticing a lot of turn around in teachers and ones that had been there for years prior to it becoming “building Kidz” a corporate chain. They had hosted an open house and it sounded like it wasn’t a Spanish immersion program it became bilingual because the new owners didn’t understand or know how to put together the curriculum. And as months passed I was getting more and more announcements about teachers “moving on.” (Maybe laid off?) With no empathy or thought of how the children who get attached to their teacher their safe space. Being disrupted every other month…. Something felt off so I decided to remove my daughter from the school. Don’t get me wrong the teachers are and those who left were WONDERFUL!! It’s not about them. This review is about a system that wasn’t working with the already established staff. It worked against it without any regard for teachers, parent and the babies that knew the old system and teachers. I’m sure in the future this school and its management will be great as a bilingual school. I just wish I wasn’t apart of the work in progress. My baby missed her teachers she started with.
Karina De LunaMar 11, 2026Our toddler has been attending for six months and she absolutely loves it! As a parent, seeing your child excited to go to school every morning is the ultimate peace of mind. The bilingual English/Spanish curriculum has done wonders for her language development and social confidence. The teachers are incredibly caring and attentive, and the facility is always clean and welcoming. We also enjoy the school's app as it makes communication easy, provides daily photos and activity updates, which keep us feel connected throughout the day. It’s such a relief to know she is in a nurturing environment where she’s truly thriving. Highly recommended!
Elizabeth HerJan 26, 2026We began looking for the right school to transition our daughter from a nanny/grandparents watching her to preschool at 1.5 years old, and we’re so happy we found Building Kidz. This school truly feels like a second home for our little one. The teachers are warm, communicative, and genuinely invested in the children. Our baby girl loves coming to school, and we’ve enjoyed watching her social and language skills develop. The daily communication through the app and the cleanliness of the facility have provided great peace of mind for this FTM. We couldn’t be happier with our choice.
Marissa MendozaJan 26, 2026Our 15 month old has been at Building Kidz since 10 months. They are our first non-family caregivers and we are having a great experience. The communication with teachers and the app they use make us feel connected even when we are away! We are especially grateful for the insight and guidance teachers provide us when we may have questions as first time parents. The focus on learning and the arts are a special highlight for our family. We highly recommend checking out Building Kidz South San Jose.
Jamie VisserJan 15, 2026My waby boy started at 11 months and is now approaching 15 months, and he truly loves it here. I have seen a significant improvement not only in his social skills, but also in his self-regulation, confidence when exploring new environments, and being held by others. The school uses an app to log feeding times, diaper changes, and bottle feeds, which provides great peace of mind. The infant room is consistently clean and well maintained, with clear signs of active, happy play. The outdoor area is also clean, and I appreciate that it is separate from the toddler space. The staff is very responsive through the app and always welcoming. I feel completely comfortable leaving my son each day, especially when he eagerly reaches out to his caregiver. Unfortunately, we are withdrawing due to a move out of the area, but under different circumstances, I would have happily kept my child here until he aged out.
Andrea GonzalezDec 29, 2025We have been sending our kiddo to Building Kid South San Jose since he was 10 months old, and we couldn't be happier with our decision. What we love most is the joyful and welcoming environment. The facility is clean, bright, and thoughtfully designed, with dedicated classrooms for each age group, which really shows how much care goes into child development. They also have a separate, age-appropriate playground, so kids can play safely with toy and material designed specifically for their stage. The teachers are truly the best part. They are incredibly responsive, joyful, caring, and loving. Every teacher knows each child by name, and you can genuinely feel how much they care about the kids. Our son is always happy when we drop him off and sometimes does not really want to leave when we pick him up. Even though we don't live close to the facility, we are more than willing to drive because our child is happy, thriving, and developing so well here. That peace of mind is priceless. We highly recommend Building Kid South San Jose to any parent looking for a safe, nurturing, and joyful place for their child.
