What California does not publish here

The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

  • We’ve had a great experience with Capstone Preschool. Our son felt comfortable there from the very first tour. He immediately started playing and exploring the space, and on his first day he was excited to walk right in. The facility is brand new, clean, and thoughtfully set up with areas for different age groups. They also have a nice, secure outdoor playground and plenty of parking, which makes drop off and pick up easy. The teachers are welcoming, attentive, and experienced in early childhood education. They’ve been very open to feedback and flexible about our son’s individual needs. We also appreciate how much care goes into the curriculum and that the program is bilingual, giving the kids exposure to another language. They have monthly themes that make learning fun. Our son especially loved the superhero theme, where they worked on shapes, colors, tracing, and community helpers. He comes home with artwork and tells us about what he learned and the friends he played with. Capstone also offers catered lunch. Even though we usually pack his food, the teachers encourage him to try new things. We were really surprised when he eventually started asking on his own to try some of the food. Our son looks forward to going to school. He feels comfortable there, enjoys his teachers and classmates, and learning. We’ve been very happy with Capstone and highly recommend them!

  • My daughter really enjoys going to this school. She often doesn’t even want to leave when we pick her up! The school is always clean and well maintained, and the teachers are very patient, caring, and attentive. It gives us great peace of mind knowing she’s happy and well cared for every day.

  • I am so excited that Belmont will open a bilingual dc and preschool in July! We went to their open house early March and are impressed - The facility is brand new, the staff are friendly and tentative to Children, and there’s a large enclosed outdoor playing area and dedicated parking for drop off and pick up. There’s catered lunch options too. We met the owner and they have another facility ran in years in Foster City.

Questions parents ask about CAPSTONE PRESCHOOL

Is CAPSTONE PRESCHOOL a licensed child care provider in California?

Yes. CAPSTONE PRESCHOOL holds California licence 414005329, currently listed as "LICENSED" by the Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division, first issued on May 29, 2026. Confirm current standing with the agency before enrolling.

What kind of child care licence does CAPSTONE PRESCHOOL hold?

California licenses CAPSTONE PRESCHOOL as a single licensed child care center, a category that covers infant, preschool and school-age care under a single licence. The category comes from the state's own licence record, not from the provider.

How many children can CAPSTONE PRESCHOOL care for?

CAPSTONE PRESCHOOL is licensed for up to 73 children at one time. Licensed capacity is a ceiling set by the state, not a count of current enrolment or of available places.

Has California visited CAPSTONE PRESCHOOL in response to a complaint?

California records no complaint-driven visits to CAPSTONE PRESCHOOL. That means no concern prompted a visit on the public record, which is not the same as a clean inspection history: the state does not publish what its visits found.

Who holds the licence for CAPSTONE PRESCHOOL?

The licence is held by CAPSTONE PRESCHOOL. California lists the licensee separately from the facility name, so the two often differ. The facility is in San Mateo County.
