What California does not publish here

The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

  • I was interested in sending my toddler here so I submitted my information via their website. I received an automated response from their corporate office with the information of this particular branch. So I decided to call. Nobody answered. Yeah okay it’s during school hours, I’ll try later. So after school hours, I called again. Nobody answered. So I send an email to the email address given to me in that first corporate email. No response at all. That was 4 days ago. Is this for real? How can I trust you with my child if you can’t even pick up the phone or respond to a simple email?!? I’m sure they try to cram in as many kids as possible here. Their goal is to get you to enroll your child and start billing. It’s really pushed hard on you from the start. Whatever happens after you’re billed doesn’t matter. At least that’s the impression I got. No thanks! UPDATE: Well it’s been a week since their response to this review and I have not heard a peep from them. I honestly wouldn’t even let them watch my dog.

  • My son went to Champions in Edna Batey preschool this year. On Monday of the last week of attending, I told the teacher about the situation. Just because I was busy preparing gifts for the teachers and forgot to changed the schedule on website, and I contacted support via email on Thursday (one day after the deadline for changing schedule ), I have to pay for the next two weeks tuition fee? Isn't that ridiculous? This was a technical issue which could be easily fixed by their technical worker, but they chose to ask a third party to come after me, and even Sue me.Wow, what a chain educational organization! Bravo!

What kind of child care licence does CHAMPIONS @ EDNA BATEY ELEMENTARY hold?

California licenses CHAMPIONS @ EDNA BATEY ELEMENTARY as a school age day care center, a category that covers school-age children outside school hours. The category comes from the state's own licence record, not from the provider.

How many children can CHAMPIONS @ EDNA BATEY ELEMENTARY care for?

CHAMPIONS @ EDNA BATEY ELEMENTARY is licensed for up to 93 children at one time. Licensed capacity is a ceiling set by the state, not a count of current enrolment or of available places.

How often has California inspected CHAMPIONS @ EDNA BATEY ELEMENTARY?

California records 3 inspection visits to CHAMPIONS @ EDNA BATEY ELEMENTARY, the most recent on August 28, 2025 and the earliest on record September 7, 2022. Has California visited CHAMPIONS @ EDNA BATEY ELEMENTARY in response to a complaint?

Who holds the licence for CHAMPIONS @ EDNA BATEY ELEMENTARY?

The licence is held by KCE CHAMPIONS LLC. California lists the licensee separately from the facility name, so the two often differ. The facility is in Sacramento County.
