What California does not publish here

The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

  • While the director, Brittany, is kind and approachable, the program appears to be staffed by individuals who would benefit from additional experience and training. This is reflected in the overall management and day-to-day operations. With stronger leadership development and staff training, I believe the program has the potential to provide a much higher-quality experience. At this time, however, I would not recommend enrolling a child in the program. Based on my experience, the staff do not seem adequately prepared to manage a range of child behaviors effectively, and there appears to be inconsistent treatment of children, including perceived favoritism. Addressing these concerns through comprehensive staff training and clear, consistent policies could significantly improve the program.

  • My daughter started at Champions as a kinder, she is now in first grade. The teachers are friendly, approachable and very understanding of any concern you have. They provide a nutritious snack, have outdoor play as well as homework time and games and activities outside and inside. Crafts and activities are integrated with school subjects (ie science, social studies, math, language arts, computers and art. Ms. Amanda is amazing and her teachers are always caring and loving to all kids but also firm with them as well. Champions is clean and provides a safe environment. I highly recommend this before and after school care without hesitation.
