Licensing visits on record

California records 0 routine inspection visits and no visits prompted by a complaint to COTTAGE CO-OP NURSERY SCHOOL.

What California does not publish here

The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

  • I as a boy went here,it shaped my charisma, and social skills, I would recommend this school as a kid to other families. The social skills I learned there have helped me through life and in many problems in my kitty career after going here. The teachers here on fantastic and include everybody. Very safe environment for young children. My favorite part about cottage was the paint, it sparked my inner creativity that I have today, when I went there I felt that it was a safe environment to explore different ideas kids would have. Am just a boy by the way.

  • We just finished our first year at Cottage and it has truly exceeded our expectations. We toured many, many preschools, but this one truly stood out. It is such a wonderful, caring, engaged community of parents and teachers. All the teachers are so amazing and the program is truly play-based with a focus on social-emotional learning. Every aspect of the day is thought out with true intention, while allowing kids freedom to explore and immerse themselves in play. My daughter looks forward to going every day, and we feel so safe and grateful knowing she is truly in the best hands. The parent community has been such an unexpected gift, and the opportunities for involvement and parent education make the experience even richer. It's truly a magical place!

  • We were fortunate to be part of the Cottage family for preschool and TK, and it was wonderful. Our son thrived!

  • My family has been part of the Cottage Co-op community since 2013. All three of my children have attended. Our entire family is positively impacted by this community. I am a better parent and my children can self-advocate with empathy because of our time at this school. You would never know from the lovely historic facade that a preschool is nestled within. Cottage Co-op has been at Arlington Drive since 1985 and is lovingly maintained. When my children are at Cottage, I know they are in an engaging environment with teachers who respect their innate personhood. You only get one childhood, I'm so very proud that I gave my kids the gift of Cottage.

  • I am proud that our family has been a part of the Cottage family for 2.5 years now. We wanted a school where learning to navigate social situations and solve problems/conflicts together was the main focus, not academics, there is plenty of time for that later in life. Cottage Co-Op not only was the right classroom environment for our child, but an amazing community as well. Between the pot-lucks that give you time to talk with parents going through similar challenges to the focus on learning and growing as parents, together in a supportive atmosphere, being a part of this community has changed our lives for the better in everyway. The Co-Op is not easy, there is classroom time, fix-its and family jobs, but putting in the effort only adds to the overall community. Finally, you can’t write a review about a pre-school without talking about the teachers. The small group of amazing professionals here at Cottage are the heart and soul of the school. They come from different parts of the world, some even attending Cottage when they were a child and combine to be an incredible team that continues to inspire the entire community every day.
