What California does not publish here
The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

The Director still uses aggressive body language when interacting with me, and it’s clear she didn’t like that I put it in my review but she has not said anything about it directly to me. I do my best not to aggravate her further. She literally screams at me. For example, she practically screamed at me today when I greeted her. She noticed me see her behavior and tried to disguise it. My son’s teacher was in the adjacent room watching me and moments later approached me while the students were gathered outside. She did not greet me, just commented on my appearance and used unsavory tones. It is clear that these people don’t like POC of the black community. My son’s teacher cannot even stand to look at my face or be kind most times she sees me. I am looking forward to June, went the school year ends. Not the best place for a POC that is aware and educated on DEI and related topics. I even had a meeting to discuss my and my son’s experiences and those were dismissed and no real changes have been made, just more unpleasant experiences across time. 2 stars for education and safety, -3 for experience
Tira OdomMar 4, 2025My son lives going to school here we have been going to almost a year now and I couldn't have asked for a better daycare.
Kari SwopeNov 15, 2021Every teacher that I had contact with have been very kind and helpful. Miss Ali is my sons teacher and she is the best. He is now graduating to Miss Ashley’s class and I know he will do great because she’s pretty great too!
Susana Miranda ReisJun 15, 2021I do not see what the excitement behind this school is. Information regarding our child is missed, being notified for certain things is almost non-existent, and communication is overall poor. There seems to be no evaluation of our childs cognitive development. Is he interacting with the kids and teachers, well? Is he following directions and seem to be learning? So far, because communication is poor, it appears that the skills he entered the school with have decreased to a degree. Our child has fallen behind kids his age since attending here. We had to hire a tutor for him to help us regain skills he learned at his private school. I am not sure if it is an under staffing problem, educational/skill problem, or lack of caring or trying. We took our son out of private school to allow him to have a little less structure but this school appears to have no formula. Not sure what qualifies 'best preschool awards', but this is certainly not it. I am pleased to see that other parents and their children are enjoying their time at this establishment. Unfortunate, our experience has not been the same.
Tia CoteOct 28, 2020I do not know where to start. I looked at country Hill for my children because a good friend recommended them. I was very impressed with their security and attention to detail right from the get go. The team that Elizabeth has put together is a dream team that provides the perfect environment for safety, learning, fun and nurturing. I have yet to be disappointed with their ability to handle a tough or challenging situation; and given all the challenges 2020 has thrown our way that is saying something. My kids come home full of knowledge and excited to go to school the next day. I drive all the way from Folsom to bring my kids here because I do believe it's the best place for them.
Athan GiwoffSep 18, 2020My son absolutely loves it here! He goes three days a week and loves all of the teachers! They love these children like they are their own. My son has developed a stronger ability to play by himself and focus on a task for longer periods of time. He also has made friends very quickly and the other children were so sweet and welcoming to him.

Questions parents ask about COUNTRYHILL MONTESSORI
Is COUNTRYHILL MONTESSORI a licensed child care provider in California?
- Yes. COUNTRYHILL MONTESSORI holds California licence 343616551, currently listed as "LICENSED" by the Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division, first issued on December 20, 2010. Confirm current standing with the agency before enrolling.
What kind of child care licence does COUNTRYHILL MONTESSORI hold?
- California licenses COUNTRYHILL MONTESSORI as a day care center, a category that covers preschool-age children in a centre-based programme. The category comes from the state's own licence record, not from the provider.
How many children can COUNTRYHILL MONTESSORI care for?
- COUNTRYHILL MONTESSORI is licensed for up to 102 children at one time. Licensed capacity is a ceiling set by the state, not a count of current enrolment or of available places.
How often has California inspected COUNTRYHILL MONTESSORI?
- California records 4 inspection visits to COUNTRYHILL MONTESSORI, the most recent on March 4, 2025 and the earliest on record December 12, 2022. The state publishes the dates of these visits but not what they found, so this count reflects licensing activity, not results. Read the findings themselves in California's own facility search.
Has California visited COUNTRYHILL MONTESSORI in response to a complaint?
- California records 14 complaint-driven visits to COUNTRYHILL MONTESSORI. A complaint visit means someone raised a concern and the state went to look. California does not publish what those visits found, so the count on its own does not say whether any concern was upheld.
Who holds the licence for COUNTRYHILL MONTESSORI?
- The licence is held by COUNTRYHILL MONTESSORI. California lists the licensee separately from the facility name, so the two often differ. The facility is in Sacramento County.
