What California does not publish here

The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

  • We have been going to the Davis parent nursery school for the 4 years. It has been a great experience for our kid to meet others and for us to meet other parents. It is an institution across Davis since it has been an existence for 75 years. It is conveniently located in two places across Davis. The teacher quality is exceedingly good and is an adult education element across the davis school system. I highly recommend people to take their kids there to learn about how to be a better parent and help the kids learn Social skills

  • DPNS is such a warm, inclusive community! We spent three years here and I look forward to my youngest child being able to attend as well. Not only is this a magical place for kids to learn and play and grow, the parent education opportunities is wonderful as well! Highly highly recommend!

  • Our family is so happy we are part of the DPNS community! Our son has been in the 2-day and 5-day programs over the past few years and he has grown so much in his communication skills, social skills as well as academics. I love the play-based program and am thankful for the expert guidance from all of the teachers. I'm so glad we were able to keep him here through his TK year; I feel like he will enter kindergarten next year with all of the social and emotional skills he needs to thrive. It's a special community of families and teachers that we are lucky to be a part of. Thank you DPNS!

  • My Grandaughter attended 5 day DPNS I also had the opportunity to assist on several occasions. The staff are so supportive and helpful to the kids as well as the parents. It is a big family that my Granddaughter still has a bond with the old classmates. There is so much learning and socialization skills that are taught with fun as well. I totally recommend the DPNS program and look forward to my grandson being old enough to attend!!

  • DPNS is a fantastic play based learning program, with multiple crafts and activities available for the kids each day. If you’re looking for an opportunity to build community and be a participant in your child’s starting educational years you can’t go wrong with DPNS. I really appreciate the parenting skills I have learned through the programs and the teachers are all fantastic and helpful! We have participated in playgroup program, 3 day and 5 day program for 2 years.

  • We love DPNS. I went here, my sisters did and so have all my children. It is a magical school. Children are encouraged to be creative, explore the giant yard and they learn so much through play. The teachers are all amazing!! It is a wonderful supportive community where my children made life long friends.
