What California does not publish here
The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

The park management is rude. The demanded we left early during a paid for event.
Bob DaringsonJul 18, 2026Glad to see my hometown playground is doing well. Grew up across the street as the park was being built in early 70s . Always played on sport teams. Learned teamwork and made lifelong friends in the melting pot of Carson.
Keith WillemsJul 14, 2026Dolphin park is very quiet and clean. I love to go walking there. They have a nice trail that circles the park. There is no car traffic either to disrupt your workout.
Kay KJul 2, 2026Very busy park but clean kids play areas. I think after school programs go on here but the amount of supervision was good! My son loves it here.
Trent LoveApr 21, 2026My children grew up around the area. They played baseball in almost every sport in this park. It’s a very safe and friendly park is family friendly. I would say keep going. The only thing is that they do not allow dogs. That’s why I actually stopped going but other than thatit’s a beautiful
Letty DiazJun 26, 2025My family and I visited on a Monday morning so it wasn't too busy. The playground is a decent size. They also have a musical section next to the playground that's pretty cool for kids to play with. There's also a boat rocking contraption and a spinning wheel. Great place for kids to burn energy. Although there isn't that much seating for parents.

Questions parents ask about DOLPHIN PARK
Is DOLPHIN PARK a licensed child care provider in California?
- Yes. DOLPHIN PARK holds California licence 198005652, currently listed as "LICENSED" by the Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division, first issued on January 20, 2000. Confirm current standing with the agency before enrolling.
What kind of child care licence does DOLPHIN PARK hold?
- California licenses DOLPHIN PARK as a school age day care center, a category that covers school-age children outside school hours. The category comes from the state's own licence record, not from the provider.
How many children can DOLPHIN PARK care for?
- DOLPHIN PARK is licensed for up to 49 children at one time. Licensed capacity is a ceiling set by the state, not a count of current enrolment or of available places.
How often has California inspected DOLPHIN PARK?
- California records 4 inspection visits to DOLPHIN PARK, the most recent on March 5, 2026 and the earliest on record March 3, 2022. The state publishes the dates of these visits but not what they found, so this count reflects licensing activity, not results. Read the findings themselves in California's own facility search.
Has California visited DOLPHIN PARK in response to a complaint?
- California records no complaint-driven visits to DOLPHIN PARK. That means no concern prompted a visit on the public record, which is not the same as a clean inspection history: the state does not publish what its visits found.
Who holds the licence for DOLPHIN PARK?
- The licence is held by CITY OF CARSON. California lists the licensee separately from the facility name, so the two often differ. The facility is in Los Angeles County.
