Licensing visits on record

California records 0 routine inspection visits and no visits prompted by a complaint to ELAN PRESCHOOL.

What California does not publish here

The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

  • Where do I even start? I booked a tour at Elan Preschool when my child was about 14 months old. As an elementary school teacher I was blown away by these facts: 1. Elan has been in business for decades. 2. Elan has a tailored curriculum for each individual child. 3. Elan uses an amazing app (Brightwheel) where teachers can share photos/food updates/potty updates for your child, collect tuition fees, send messages directly to you, etc. 4. Elan has extracurricular activities during the week (ABC music and Tuff Tumblers as a gymnastic class) that you can pay for if you'd like extra enrichment for your child. If you don't sign up your child for these, your child will be given extra outdoor time. 5. Elan has a HUGE outdoor area with safe plastic playgrounds. Instead of tanbark for flooring, they cut up big pieces of recycled rubber that can absorb a lot of shock. There are lot of outdoor toys and vehicles to play with. 6. Elan offers DATE NIGHT once a month so you can drop off your child or children until from 5/6 until 9/10 PM! 7. Elan doesn't allow kids to bring food with sugar. They will allow foods that have very minimal sugar. I love this. This might be con for some people, but not for me: *Elan doesn't provide snacks and lunches for your child, but I prefer that because my child is a picky eater. They will heat up food for your child if you wish. Elan had an open spot for my son when he was 26 months old. I was also impressed by these facts: 1. Elan assigns each family a door code, and check-in/check-out codes for each caregiver. 2. I was worried about him starting school and since he doesn't talk much, I would ask the teachers about him every day for about a few weeks after school. They reassured me and I felt so much better about everything. 3. My son didn't cry the first 3 days during drop-off because he didn't know any better. He cried on the 4th and 5th day, but after that, my son has not cried during drop-off. That shows me he really enjoys school. 4. I feel like Elan really helps foster his academic and social skills. 5. I love the monthly calendar which shows the kids' and staff members' birthdays, the dates where they bring in outside vendors like a petting zoo, bubble show, musician, magician, etc. Each month they may ask kids to have bring a show-and-tell item, book, wear a specific outfit, etc. They have water play days, family carnival day, holiday parties, special events, etc. 6. According to their monthly calendar, they also do art, cooking, science, music, dance, etc. There are other preschools closer to us, but I really value Elan for the quality care, attention, fun that it provides for all children and families. I talked to another mom who probably toured 6 or 7 preschools before choosing Elan. We are confident that we really made the best choice for our children!

  • We have been part of the Elan Preschool family for two years now, and I can honestly say no other school matches their level of care. When I toured other daycares, I noticed most lacked shaded play areas, but Elan has a fantastic playground with plenty of shade. More importantly, the teachers are absolutely amazing with the kids. They provide prompt, helpful updates that keep us connected to our son’s day. Elizabeth, in particular, has been instrumental in our positive experience. If you're looking for a school that truly balances a great environment with dedicated educators, I highly recommend Elan!

  • Elan is an excellent preschool. I did an extensive search when seeking out a preschool and immediately knew Elan was the right one for my son after visiting. It was one of the last schools I visited and I was so thankful I didn't settle for another preschool before visiting Elan. This was the only preschool that values outdoor time in my opinion. I appreciate they spend a lot of time outside between indoor seated learning. Also, the staff are all very responsive and demonstrate a strong sense of care and love for the kids. They offer a great deal of emotional support. I highly recommend Elan Preschool.

  • Our child started at Elan Preschool about 8 months ago when she was just 2 years old. The school was recommended to us by our neighbors, and it has truly lived up to that recommendation. We absolutely love Elan Preschool, and more importantly, our child loves going there every day. Her teacher, Miss Candace, is incredibly calm, gentle, and caring with the kids. The overall atmosphere is warm and friendly, and all the teachers seem very involved in looking out for the children and making sure they are well cared for. The school has a great playground with plenty of space for the kids to play and be active. They also bring in enrichment activities like bird play and music sessions, which the kids really enjoy. As parents, we love seeing the photos and videos they share, along with the updates about what the children are doing during the day. The academics are also very good, and the school does a great job balancing learning with play and creativity, which is exactly what we were hoping to find. When we were searching for a preschool, we wanted a place that was safe, caring, and enriching both academically and physically. We found all of that at Elan Preschool. A special thank you to Miss Elizabeth for running such a well-managed preschool. We are very grateful to have found such a wonderful place. Overall, we have been very happy with the quality of care, the value for what the school offers, and the wonderful service from the teachers and staff. If you are looking for a nurturing and enriching preschool environment, I would definitely recommend Elan Preschool.

  • Our 2 year old daughter goes to Elan Preschool and we couldn’t be more happier with the teachers. Teachers here genuinely care for the kids and are very accommodative, they take very good care of the kids. The special events at the school like the music classes, pet shows etc., make it more interesting for the kids.

  • My 4 year old daughter goes here currently. It’s One of the best preschool i have come across. From academic curriculum, learning social skills & discipline ,arts ,music activities and lastly puppet shows, petting animals all in all its amazing. I have only seen a positive difference in my child’s development. Amazing teachers. I love them all! KEY NOTE- Teachers are good listeners as i have observed, whenever parent’s have a say about their child progress. If you get your child’s admission consider yourself lucky. Their classes gets filled up fast.

Yes. ELAN PRESCHOOL holds California licence 435700779, currently listed as "LICENSED" by the Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division, first issued on February 6, 2026. Confirm current standing with the agency before enrolling.

What kind of child care licence does ELAN PRESCHOOL hold?

California licenses ELAN PRESCHOOL as a single licensed child care center, a category that covers infant, preschool and school-age care under a single licence. The category comes from the state's own licence record, not from the provider.

How many children can ELAN PRESCHOOL care for?

ELAN PRESCHOOL is licensed for up to 64 children at one time. Licensed capacity is a ceiling set by the state, not a count of current enrolment or of available places.

Has California visited ELAN PRESCHOOL in response to a complaint?

California records no complaint-driven visits to ELAN PRESCHOOL. That means no concern prompted a visit on the public record, which is not the same as a clean inspection history: the state does not publish what its visits found.

The licence is held by ELAN PRESCHOOL. California lists the licensee separately from the facility name, so the two often differ. The facility is in Santa Clara County.
