What California does not publish here

The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

  • Both of our children attended Fulton Community School & Farm (our son for three years and our daughter for two), and we could not have asked for a better start to their early education. From the administration to the teaching staff, everyone is highly qualified, caring, and deeply committed to child development. The team not only provided a safe, nurturing, and exploratory environment for our kids to grow, but they also coached us as parents through the more challenging moments of early childhood — which made us better parents, too. Renee and the staff are an incredible resource. The program itself is amazing: nature-based, hands-on, and creative, with so many opportunities for children to explore, learn, and discover. The farm and food program is outstanding — fresh, healthy meals prepared with produce from a local CSA vegetable program. The staff are attentive to each child’s needs, and the hiring process is clearly rigorous; every teacher we met was passionate about their work and well-trained in early childhood development. Another big plus is the community that the school fosters. Through family events and the thoughtful way they connect parents, we’ve built friendships with other families that continue to this day. If you’re looking for a preschool that combines a safe, inspiring environment for children with outstanding educators and a vibrant sense of community, I can’t recommend Fulton Community School & Farm highly enough. If they had a program for older students, our kids would still be here!

  • Both my kids attended this preschool and our family thrived here. The educational philosophy of Emilio Regio, the incredible teachers, the farm, the communal farm to table meals, the freedom to be little and messy, take your time, and be unconditionally appreciated are just a few of the things we love about this community preschool. 5 stars!

  • I cannot speak more highly of this school. Everything about it is ideal and magical- the philosophy, the teachers, the outdoor exploration and animals, the food. We are SO lucky our son got to attend. It has set him up in such a beautiful way for his next phase.

  • As our daughter Ella graduates this year, we are filled with gratitude and admiration for Fulton Community School and Farm. This place has been more than just a school—it’s been a nurturing, empowering, and deeply enriching environment that has shaped her in the most beautiful ways. Watching Ella grow emotionally and socially over the years has been nothing short of inspiring. Fulton has given her the tools to become a confident, compassionate, and curious young person who is ready to step into the world with heart and purpose. One of the most remarkable aspects of Fulton is how seamlessly it integrates nature, learning, and community. The farm component is not just a backdrop—it’s a living classroom where children connect with the earth, with each other, and with themselves. It teaches responsibility, patience, and empathy in ways that traditional classrooms simply can’t. Ella has developed not only academic skills, but a deep understanding of cooperation, stewardship, and self-awareness. We are also so excited that her little sister will graduate next year. Knowing she is following in Ella’s footsteps at such a magical place brings us so much joy. The teachers, staff, and entire Fulton community pour so much care into every child’s journey, and the results are truly evident. If you are looking for a place where your children can flourish not only academically but as whole, emotionally intelligent individuals, Fulton Community School and Farm is an extraordinary choice. It’s a place where roots run deep—both literally and figuratively—and where children grow into the best versions of themselves. Thank you, Fulton, for everything you’ve given our family. We will carry your spirit with us always.

  • We have been through 4 preschools in our time as parents and this is by far the best school our kids have been to. Creative, calm, collaborative, loving and uniquely special, this is the most wonderful preschool. I wish all schools were as great as this with these dedicated teachers, garden time, and food cooked on site!

  • The quality care, attention, and nurturing support the teachers provide here is incredible. My son is very discerning where he feels comfortable, and this is an environment where he has been thriving! We have tried other schools and they pale in comparison to Fulton Community School & Farm. The communication is excellent – they communicate over an app with photos/message/updates. The school has a skilled chef/cook who provides nourishing meals and they accommodate dietary needs. They have beautiful gardens, grounds to play, goats, chickens, and an art studio! There are ample opportunities to connect as a community. Most important are the people- they are full of heart, are knowledgeable about early childhood development, and truly care for the kiddos <3
