What California does not publish here

The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

  • Wonderful Place! We found this gem only a few months before moving to a new area, though while our kids were here we LOVED IT, they loved it and they were thriving. The teachers are wonderful, they are very interactive, tons of play outside and such a sweet little school. The only drawback we had personally was that the school was meat free and we also couldn’t bring peanut butter (since there was a kid in school with a peanut allergy) which made it difficult for us to bring lunch for our kids without sending them with a bunch of snacks. Otherwise we were very happy and would highly recommend!!

  • Reached out phone many times, left messages, came by in person and left a hand written letter without any response. They are apparently to busy to respond to inquiries.

  • We love it, and more importantly, so does our toddler!

  • This is a lovely welcoming preschool ( or pre-pre school) which we feel so lucky to have found by word of mouth. The teachers work with the parents to slowly and comfortably integrate your child into their environment. They have half or full day options which is great for flexibility and working parents. The facility is very clean & organized. Also, from my very first visit and now 5 months later I have yet to see an unhappy child. The children are offered a wide variety of inside and outside mind developing activities. The teachers could not be kinder and more receptive to helping your child assimilate and develop. We started our 2 year old daughter there for half days in September of 2018 and have been thrilled with how much she has learned as well as developed. Her teacher Lenae is wonderful. She is always smiling and open to chatting. She sends home written hand reports periodically to let you know how and what your child did that day. Great Beginnings has been a really wonderful socializing tool for my daughter. My daughter is learning songs, how to share, clean up after herself just to start along with art project and books. Whether, you are a stay at home mom who needs a few hours to yourself or are looking for full time child care, my husband and I would highly recommend Great Beginning for a solid day care/preschool ennvironment.

  • Treats staff like garbage, and is ovwrpriced. Stephanie is not a smart business woman. Twice the quality at half the price elsewhere

What kind of child care licence does GREAT BEGINNINGS CHILD DEVELOPMENT CNTR hold?

How many children can GREAT BEGINNINGS CHILD DEVELOPMENT CNTR care for?

The licence is held by LEVENHAGEN, STEPHANIE. California lists the licensee separately from the facility name, so the two often differ. The facility is in Sacramento County.
