What California does not publish here
The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

We feel incredibly grateful for the experience our daughter has had at Hungry Caterpillars Early Education Center this past year. Since our daughter already speaks Spanish at home, it was important for us to find a school where she could continue strengthening the language in a meaningful and joyful way. This program has done exactly that, and we’ve loved seeing her grow in confidence while feeling proud of her bilingualism. What truly makes this school special is the warmth and care of the teachers and staff. They create a nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn each day. Over the past year, we’ve seen so much growth in our daughter—not only academically, but socially and emotionally as well. She has become more confident, independent, and expressive. We are so thankful for the love, care, and dedication this school has shown our family. We highly recommend Hungry Caterpillars Early Education Center to any family looking for a warm and enriching early education experience.
Alexander RomeroJun 27, 2026Our family has been incredibly grateful for our experience at Hungry Caterpillars. Our daughter started here when she was just two years old, and we’ve been consistently impressed by the professionalism of the staff and their genuine commitment to early childhood development. It’s clear that every decision is made with children’s growth, confidence, and well-being at the center. One of the moments that stood out to us was our parent-teacher conference. We expected a brief update, but instead we were genuinely surprised by the depth of the teachers’ observations, their thoughtful understanding of our daughter as an individual, and the way they were able to articulate her developmental progress so clearly. It was evident they knew her incredibly well. This experience additionally confirmed our sense that she is seen, understood, and supported every day. The Spanish immersion program has been such a gift, and the fresh, thoughtfully prepared food is another feature that sets the school apart. We also love how much the children get to experience the city through regular outings and exploration. The balance they strike between fostering curiosity and maintaining exceptional safety and organization is truly impressive. Beyond the curriculum, what stands out most is the sense of community. The teachers know every child so well, communicate openly with families, and create an environment where children feel secure, loved, and excited to learn. Watching our daughter grow in confidence, independence, and joy has been one of the greatest gifts of these early years. We couldn’t recommend Hungry Caterpillars more highly. It’s a very special place, and we feel incredibly lucky to be part of this community.

The classroom and play areas are thoughtfully organized, clean, and welcoming, providing a safe and stimulating environment, making it highly recommended for a nurturing and supportive preschool experience.
