Licensing visits on record
California records 0 routine inspection visits and no visits prompted by a complaint to JAN PETERSON CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER.
What California does not publish here
The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

As a former professional athlete, and now present day attorney, I am very particular with everything. To compound things, when it comes to my daughter, I am overly protective, to a fault. We enrolled our daughter in Jan Peterson at 3 months old and have watched her development through the last four (4) years. My wife and I are beyond pleased with how they’ve aided in our child’s development in every facet. Through their efforts, our daughter is very personable, open minded and to top it off they even taught her Spanish! I highly recommend this facility with no hesitation. The staff here goes above and beyond what is required to ensure your child feels welcome and is able to grow and develop in a nurturing environment. Had I to do all over again, I wouldn’t change a thing. Ms. Linda and Ms. V are exceptional at their craft. I highly recommend this facility to any other overly protective parents out there (Lol) who are looking for a place for their child to be safe, feel loved and be exposed to a nurturing and productive environment! Jan Peterson, thank you for giving our daughter the tools she needs going forward to thrive in life! My family and I are so grateful for you! Orlando Ruff, Esq.
Orlando RuffJul 27, 2024We had a great experience at Jan Peterson! My 4 year old attended for almost two years & my almost 2 year old attended for almost one year. The teachers were all kind & seemed to genuinely care about the kiddos. I especially loved my 4 year olds preschool class. Special shout out to Ms. Maria who went above & beyond with all her fun learning activities & art projects. Ms. Maria & Ms. Vanessa made it an enriching classroom environment & I appreciate their patience redirection techniques . My 4 year old learned a lot and enjoyed forming friendships with the other kiddos. I felt safe, leaving both my children there. My 2 year old grew very attached to his teachers. The director Ms. Linda and assistant director Ms. V were very approachable and hands-on with the whole school. This place has been open a very long time and I feel like that also says a lot about how well it is ran. The only complaint I have is the turn over of teachers because either they move to a different class or leave. I think overall daycare/preschool teachers have a high burn out rate. This was my first experience leaving my children with a daycare/preschool & would definitely recommend Jan Peterson. The only reason I took my kids out of Jan Peterson was because I left the area.
Chelsey DavisJul 16, 2024This center has been such a great experience for my 3 year old. The staff is amazing, compassionate and very professional. I can see improvement in child's language, confidence, and social skills since enrolling into the Jan Peterson Center. We hope to enroll our other child as well :) I am so grateful for quality childcare!
Breanna LamarDec 7, 2023I would give 10 Stars If i could . this Place is heaven on earth for babies no doubt about it!!! my baby had to start at Only 6 weeks old she is now 6months and i can honestly Say choosing Jan Peterson has been the best decision ive made . I was so scared to leave my new born baby with strangers but they definitely did the most to make me feel comfortable and assure me that my baby was safe with them . All the staff beginning with admin staff, teachers & maintenance staff is so welcoming and nice . To my babys teachers in Angel fish Class room thank you for being amazing with all the babies & especially mine 🫶🏻 i can see how much she loves being with you wonderful ladies all day . Not to mention they treat all the babies as if they were their own and I love that 🫶🏻i love how they involve the babies in all of their spirit week activities and holiday events. I constantly post all the events on my social media and constantly have people asking me what daycare this is so they can try to enroll their babies too. I love it and my goal is to keep her in Jan Peterson child development center till starting actual school. Thank you Jan Peterson child development center for being such a great organization 🫶🏻💖
Bianca LopezNov 29, 2023My Daughter and I love Jan peterson!! Never had a negative experience. The staff is all so welcoming. My daughter runs to hug her teachers every time we arrive. It’s so nice to know she enjoys being here.
Alexandra MarmolejoJun 5, 2023We have been bringing our daughter here for 2 years now and we absolutely love having our daughter here. From the time we transitioned here from Texas, Victoria has been amazing with any concerns we have. Including Ms. Linda. They’re always professional and attentive to our needs. We were nervous with our daughter having a severe dairy allergy how things would go at first but we know with the chef there, she is always in good hands! Chef is our favorite person at the school and he is always making sure our daughter never misses a single meal even when she wants more. Not to mention he is always her advocate in all classrooms she transitions too, making sure they are always accommodating her food restrictions! And she has had some pretty awesome teachers here from Ms. Karen, Ms. Zaria and we even like Ms. Maria! They are always super sweet and make sure our daughter is always situated. Definitely glad we decided to bring our daughter here!!! The staff is amazing and it’s a great feeling knowing that our daughter is in good hands!

Questions parents ask about JAN PETERSON CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER
Is JAN PETERSON CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER a licensed child care provider in California?
- Yes. JAN PETERSON CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER holds California licence 336301672, currently listed as "LICENSED" by the Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division, first issued on July 16, 2026. Confirm current standing with the agency before enrolling.
What kind of child care licence does JAN PETERSON CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER hold?
- California licenses JAN PETERSON CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER as a single licensed child care center, a category that covers infant, preschool and school-age care under a single licence. The category comes from the state's own licence record, not from the provider.
How many children can JAN PETERSON CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER care for?
- JAN PETERSON CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER is licensed for up to 155 children at one time. Licensed capacity is a ceiling set by the state, not a count of current enrolment or of available places.
Has California visited JAN PETERSON CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER in response to a complaint?
- California records no complaint-driven visits to JAN PETERSON CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER. That means no concern prompted a visit on the public record, which is not the same as a clean inspection history: the state does not publish what its visits found.
Who holds the licence for JAN PETERSON CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER?
- The licence is held by JAN PETERSON CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER. California lists the licensee separately from the facility name, so the two often differ. The facility is in Riverside County.
