nour ahmedJun 30, 2017As a parent who had two older children attend the Cox Academy and be promoted on. I was excited for my younger two children to attend. However one of my youngest was having problems with math and reading. I asked what can be done to help my daughter and they claimed to have her best interests at heart. So they decided to retain her for a year because they felt she wouldn't be able to keep up with the rest of the students. So I allowed it and she seemed to be making progress. So she went to the next grade and was still having issues with math and reading despite all of the affords of after-school reading programs and even an IEP evaluation which said she didn't qualify for resources thru them. At the schools suggestion I had my daughter tested to see if she had ADHD which she did. I informed the school and she still wasn't making any progress apparently because now she in middle school and she has to relearn how to add and subtract. Now this school goes all this parent teacher report conferences to explain how they grade the kids. So now I feel they just marked what they needed to to pass her to the next grade. This school gets no stars from me. But I had to give them just to post this message.
