What California does not publish here
The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

I would never consider sending my child to this daycare. After years of struggling with infertility and complications, I was finally pregnant with twins. I reached out to this daycare about enrolling my children, but I had concerns due to my high-risk pregnancy. Initially, they reassured me that if anything happened, they would refund me. However, when things did take a turn and I had to go into preterm labor, leading to an extended NICU stay and one child coming home on oxygen, their response was far from supportive. Later, we were informed that one of our children might face additional complications, making it clear that this daycare would not be equipped to care for our babies. Despite our circumstances, they only offered a partial refund, citing their policies. While I understand the importance of policies, we had made a prior agreement that didn’t account for the situation we were in. You’d think a daycare would show compassion for a family dealing with major medical bills and the health of their children, but that wasn’t the case. They had plenty of time to fill the spots since they claimed to have a high demand and a large waitlist. If that’s true, there shouldn’t have been any issue with filling our spots. Unfortunately, it seems like taking money from families is more important to them. From what I’ve heard, the daycare is seriously understaffed. Honestly, after visiting, I’m not sure why I ever considered sending my babies there. It’s not very clean, and the baby-to-staff ratio for infants is concerning. They also force all babies onto the same schedule, regardless of individual needs, so if your baby is developing at a different pace, you’re out of luck. Do yourself a favor and check out the many other daycares in the South Bay.

Questions parents ask about LA MARINA PRESCHOOL
Is LA MARINA PRESCHOOL a licensed child care provider in California?
- Yes. LA MARINA PRESCHOOL holds California licence 197418714, currently listed as "LICENSED" by the Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division, first issued on March 28, 2013. Confirm current standing with the agency before enrolling.
What kind of child care licence does LA MARINA PRESCHOOL hold?
- California licenses LA MARINA PRESCHOOL as a infant center, a category that covers children under two. The category comes from the state's own licence record, not from the provider.
How many children can LA MARINA PRESCHOOL care for?
- LA MARINA PRESCHOOL is licensed for up to 40 children at one time. Licensed capacity is a ceiling set by the state, not a count of current enrolment or of available places.
How often has California inspected LA MARINA PRESCHOOL?
- California records 1 inspection visit to LA MARINA PRESCHOOL, the most recent on January 22, 2026. The state publishes the dates of these visits but not what they found, so this count reflects licensing activity, not results. Read the findings themselves in California's own facility search.
Has California visited LA MARINA PRESCHOOL in response to a complaint?
- California records 2 complaint-driven visits to LA MARINA PRESCHOOL. A complaint visit means someone raised a concern and the state went to look. California does not publish what those visits found, so the count on its own does not say whether any concern was upheld.
Who holds the licence for LA MARINA PRESCHOOL?
- The licence is held by LA MARINA PRESCHOOL. California lists the licensee separately from the facility name, so the two often differ. The facility is in Los Angeles County.
