What California does not publish here

The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

  • I am a concerned parent writing to request that the California Community Care Licensing Division investigate The Learning Experience (TLE) in Vista. I have attempted to address my concerns through the appropriate channels with the facility. Unfortunately, I do not feel that my concerns have been taken seriously or adequately addressed, which is why I am requesting a formal investigation by the Licensing Division. Based on my observations and experience, I have serious concerns regarding the health, safety, sanitation, supervision, and overall quality of care being provided at this facility. These concerns include: Food trays being placed directly on the floor, which I believe creates an unsanitary environment for children. Children not consistently having their hands washed before or after meals and other activities, raising concerns about proper hygiene practices. Diapers not being changed for extended periods, leaving children in soiled diapers for hours at a time. A lack of thorough cleaning and sanitizing throughout the facility, leading me to question whether appropriate health and sanitation standards are being followed. Concerns regarding the professionalism of the director and staff, as well as whether staff members have received adequate training to provide appropriate care and supervision. As a parent, I expect a licensed childcare facility to maintain a clean, safe, and nurturing environment while following California licensing requirements for sanitation, supervision, and childcare. Based on my experience, I believe these concerns warrant a thorough investigation to determine whether the facility is in compliance with all applicable regulations. My purpose in filing this complaint is to protect not only my child but all children attending this facility. I respectfully request that the California Community Care Licensing Division conduct a comprehensive investigation and take any appropriate corrective action if violations are identified. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I appreciate your commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of children in licensed childcare facilities. Sincerely, A Concerned Parent

  • This school was such a meaningful part of our family’s journey, and we’re very grateful for the experience and memories we had here. From our first interaction with Ms. Lili to being welcomed by Director Ms. Stephanie, we always felt supported and cared for. Our son truly thrived. He built confidence, learned new skills, and felt safe and loved every day by all the teachers. We are so thankful to Ms. Alondra and her team for creating such an amazing experience. Ms. Alondra truly cares about the growth and development of each child, and it shows in everything she does. The school also provided a thoughtful, enriching curriculum, along with consistent updates and fun events that created lasting memories. We were so sad to leave and and the only reason was our move out of state. We’re so thankful for everything this school gave our family and will miss everyone a ton!

  • As a mom of 2, 2 and under. I was scared of leaving my boys. I know a few people who work there as well as I have been creating a good base with the teachers and staff, my 1 yo struggled since I never have left him but he got into it soooo quick, he is so happy everyday and I can drop him off with ease. Similar my 2yo he hasent been without me as well. He really didn’t want to leave me (still have this issue) but I’ve notice with some staff teachers he clicks with. And for his sake I do wish he knows I always come back. Soon after I drop him off he usually settles the second there’s playground time. He does much better now. They also help me out when I’m struggling to bring both kids in by myself (I’ve seen the same with other parents struggling) but in the end they always contact me send me updates throughout the day and for me it makes me feel safe. I love the area not any homeless…and the level of cleanliness is amazing I’m always surprised to see how clean it is when I can’t keep my play room clean for a moment.

  • We have been enrolled at TLE for about four months, and unfortunately our experience has been disappointing due to repeated issues with consistency of care, communication, and adherence to parent instructions. We had learned that Infant Rooms A and B operate at very different levels of care. Instructions we provided during enrollment -- and that were printed and posted at the diaper changing station -- have not been followed. For example, we provided a small tube of diaper cream with clear instructions to use it at every diaper change. After enrolled for 1-2 months, I noticed no one had asked for a replacement. When I brought it up, I was told they will check and let me know but no follow through and now that my baby is no longer enrolled there I noticed that the diaper cream tube was lightly used which is concerning given how long we've been enrolled. This is the same tube I provided from the beginning. I also showed them what to do because they claimed that "it is too confusing". In the app, they always list "diaper cream applied" now we know it's not true all the time. There have also been hygiene concerns. On more than one occasion, we found food in our baby's nose that had not been cleaned out. Additionally, there were multiple times when I could hear my baby crying before even entering the building for pick up. When I observed the situation, the teacher was cleaning up and allowing my baby to continue crying rather than attending to him. My baby has eczema and is sensitive to fragrances. One teacher has lotion or perfume on and I raised this concern multiple times, yet there was no noticeable change. His eczema got worse at the end of the day. Feeding has been another major concern. On one occasion at drop-off, I was asked about his feeding schedule. I explained that he typically eats every 3-3.5 hours, and that earlier was fine if needed. That same day, he was fed milk five hours apart, with the explanation that he was "full from table food." At nine months old, table food should not be replacing milk meals. What was most troubling was the response to feedback. After I respectfully addressed an incident where my baby was left crying while the teacher cleaned the room, that teacher's attitude noticeably changed. She stopped acknowledging me altogether -- no greeting, no eye contact -- which felt unprofessional and uncomfortable. We chose TLE expecting attentive, responsive infant care and consistent communication. Unfortunately, the repeated lack of follow-through, inconsistency between rooms, and dismissive responses to concerns have made it difficult to feel confident leaving our child here.

  • Our son started attending "school" at TLE at age 13 months. I love so many things about this daycare, namely, our teachers who have been so helpful with the transition, Ms. Rosa, Ms. Jacinda and Ms. Alondra! In such a short amount of time my son has learned so many new words and met many milestones. I truly appreciate their attention to detail with his care and the notes they leave in the app. Other pros about this facility: - The director, Stephanie, is incredible - The security is great and the building is very private/safe (ie. It's not visible from the main street and you can't see into the play yards from the outside). - Clean and large classrooms - This location is newer, but the company has been around so they have their policies, procedures and communication down. - Fun events for families

  • We absolutely love this center, and so much of that is because of the incredible team… Shout out to Ms. Lily and Ms. Lolli… From day one, they have created such a warm, nurturing, joyful environment that our child looks forward to every day. The center communication is wonderful, as a parent I feel informed and secure with sending my child to “school”.
