We visited a few preschools before landing on Little Elephant, and feel so fortunate that we did. From the moment we walked in the door, we felt a calmness and security in the space that is more than just a Montessori thing, and really reflects the values and intentionality of the people working there and the design of the program. Our children have thrived at LE, both socially and educationally, and the mixed-age setting has been really great for them, as they've aged out of being the "babies" that the big kids mentored towards being able to be the mentors themselves. Whenever we've had any issues or problems--whether in or out of the school--everyone at LE has been kind and accommodating and attentive, and I've never doubted that the well-being of our children was top of mind. A lot of schools will use words like "community" or even "family" and they're just words; at LE, we've felt welcomed in a way that I will forever be grateful for.
