What California does not publish here

The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

  • My son started at this preschool when he was just two years old, and I can honestly say it’s been one of the best decisions we’ve made for him. The transition was tough at first he had always been with us, so letting go was emotional but the amazing staff made it so much easier. From the very beginning, they’ve treated him like family. He’s grown so much since starting he’s more confident, social, and always comes home happy. One of the biggest improvements we’ve seen is with his eating. He’s a picky eater, but they’ve worked patiently with him, and he’s become much more open to trying new foods. They’ve also been so supportive with potty training, which has made a big difference for us at home. The environment is nurturing, inclusive, and full of joy. They celebrate holidays and milestones in such thoughtful and fun ways, making every child feel special and included. I highly recommend this preschool to any parent looking for a place where their child will be supported, cared for, and truly thrive.

  • My oldest son has been going to little elms since he turned 2 years old he is now 4. He enjoys going. They do art projects, they have playtime outside and much more. The center provides breakfast, lunch, and snacks. I love that they post on their app what breakfast and lunch will be for the week. The director and teachers have great communication with the parents. My youngest now goes to this center and he runs in every morning. I leave knowing my kids will enjoy their day and are in great hands.

Questions parents ask about LITTLE ELMS

Is LITTLE ELMS a licensed child care provider in California?

Yes. LITTLE ELMS holds California licence 376300206, currently listed as "LICENSED" by the Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division, first issued on October 9, 2020. Confirm current standing with the agency before enrolling.

What kind of child care licence does LITTLE ELMS hold?

California licenses LITTLE ELMS as a day care center, a category that covers preschool-age children in a centre-based programme. The category comes from the state's own licence record, not from the provider.

How many children can LITTLE ELMS care for?

LITTLE ELMS is licensed for up to 23 children at one time. Licensed capacity is a ceiling set by the state, not a count of current enrolment or of available places.

How often has California inspected LITTLE ELMS?

California records 3 inspection visits to LITTLE ELMS, the most recent on January 14, 2025 and the earliest on record October 18, 2021. The state publishes the dates of these visits but not what they found, so this count reflects licensing activity, not results. Read the findings themselves in California's own facility search.

Has California visited LITTLE ELMS in response to a complaint?

California records no complaint-driven visits to LITTLE ELMS. That means no concern prompted a visit on the public record, which is not the same as a clean inspection history: the state does not publish what its visits found.

Who holds the licence for LITTLE ELMS?

The licence is held by TELLO,JOSELYN. California lists the licensee separately from the facility name, so the two often differ. The facility is in San Diego County.
