What California does not publish here

The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

  • Little Panda Preschool has a great learning environment and offers a variety of activities. My little one is very happy and looks forward to going to school every day. He brings home the songs he learned in classes and sing them whenever he is in the car which we believe this helped a lot with his mandarin skills and we think this is adorable. In addition to creative teaching activities in the classroom, they also take the children out of the classroom, including field trips to the library or nearby supermarket which enriches their social skills. My child has had a wonderful time at Little Panda Preschool and has enjoyed a diverse range of activities. Such a teaching environment and practical experiences indeed enrich a child's learning and life. Continued participation in such activities will help nurture their overall abilities and social skills.

  • This school is awesome! Our kids love going to school. They has been so happy and learning so fast. The teachers are sweet, caring, and knowledgeable. Facilities were clean and safe. Daily updates and photos to the app. They do lot of fun activities, like art and crafts, music, dance, seasonal activities etc. We were very grateful for the support we received from LPP!

  • Avoid sending your kids to this place. The owner cares more about money than your little one! In mid-2021, I had really bad experience with this place while searching for a daycare for my kid. Initially, I saw the good reviews online and sent a $100 in-person tour&application fee and a $2950 deposit to the business owner, Tiffany Zhang. We visited the Glen Park site and send the deposit to lock spot there. However, Tiffany did not let us know until the scheduled FIRST day that the kids will not be in the Glen Park site half of the time and will be "field tripping" between the two sites during each week while they are still building the new site. What make things worse, when we arrived at the Ocean site, we found that the settings was improper for our young kid. All the kids have to climb up through an outside stair to a very high second floor every day. And there was a huge platform swing on the second floor that could be dangerous for small kids. We felt uncomfortable leaving our kid there. Tiffany let us think and promised to refund us the full amount of the deposit if we really change our mind. However, after we informed her of our decision, she held the deposit for multiple weeks and we had to ask her several times to only get part of the deposit back. She even deducted a $250 processing fee, $250 paperwork fee, and $300 accounting service from the deposit, all of which are obviously not needed since the receiver's PayPal account was her own name. She also deducted $80 for our kid's half-day stay when we were actually taking care of the kid and Little Panda Daycare did not provide any service at all. More ironically, even with her calculation, we should get $2070 instead of the refunded $2027. This is almost a scam, how can Tiffany charge $800 for process, paperwork & accounting but give a wrong refund amount?!

  • Our daughter was having trouble in her previous school, in part because they kept the kids cooped up all day. We transferred her to Little Panda right before her fourth birthday, thinking that even though it was probably too late for her to pick up much Mandarin, the school would be a better fit. She immediately started thriving. We credit several things: The love and patience exhibited by the school from its director on down, the creative and enthusiastic embrace of the school's surroundings (pre-covid, they would go on weekly field trips to the park and library and occasional excursions to the zoo, pumpkin patch, etc), and the outstanding physical space they've created for learning and play. In addition, we were shocked when, after just ten months at Little Panda, our daughter passed the SFUSD Mandarin fluency evaluation. Now, in her 18th month at LP, our daughter is completely comfortable having Mandarin conversations and is even developing legible Chinese handwriting. The school pulled this off without her English education suffering; she's reading and writing well in that language too.

  • The Little Panda preschool is a place that strives to nurture playful, responsible, calm, and self-reliant children and at the same time serve as a gathering place for parents & their families through classes, celebrations, filed trips, and the like. Kids engage in imaginative play, crafts, outdoor play, gardening, cooking, hiking and singing, often accompanied by the teachers' singing and storytelling. The preschool provides different structure themes throughout the year. Teacher Tiffany is a wonderful resource for everything from parenting advice to crafting, she more than makes up for it with her clear love for her work, her immense knowledge and intuition about raising little people, and the level of mutual respect she has with the kids. Although my kids attended the school 10 years ago, they still love the place and always want to visit teacher Tiffany.

  • Our son started at little Panda at 15 months - and one of my biggest regrets was not starting him there sooner. He has developed wonderful social, life, and emotional skills in a fun, loving, and highly empathetic environment where teachers truly understand the ups and downs of being a kid. As a first time parent I've learned so much from Teacher Tiffany and Katie just in casual conversation and in parent teacher conferences. We are so glad to have found Little Panda!

What kind of child care licence does LITTLE PANDA PRESCHOOL hold?
