Licensing visits on record
California records 0 routine inspection visits and no visits prompted by a complaint to LITTLE SCHOLARS CHILDCARE CENTER.
What California does not publish here
The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

“It was hard to make the decision when I had to choose a daycare, but I’m so grateful I found the right place. They give me peace of mind knowing my child is safe and well cared for. I feel comfortable every day because they provide amazing care. Rosemary, the director, is truly amazing—her leadership, professionalism, and dedication create a safe, nurturing, and well-organized environment for both children and parents. I love the people there, especially Shelly and Arianna, who watch my child almost every day. I’m so thankful for all the staff; they are caring, patient, attentive, and truly excellent.”
Melissa GarciaDec 18, 2025We feel so lucky to have our little one at It’s a Little Scholars. Since new ownership took over in December 2024, the transformation has been remarkable. Ms. Patricia (new owner) and Ms. Rosemary (new director) have worked so hard to transform the school into the calm, clean, and nurturing space it is today. They’ve created a warm, welcoming environment where the children are truly cared for, and it’s clear the same care extends to their staff, who are supported, valued, and it shows in the way they show up every day. We’re especially grateful for Ms. Shelly, who has been a steady, loving presence in our little one’s life. Her gentle, joyful approach makes such a difference, and our little one absolutely adores her. We feel so at ease knowing our child is in her care. This is more than just a daycare, it’s a community of people who genuinely care about the children and their families. We’re so thankful to be part of it.
Megan WMay 26, 2025Our experience at A Little Scholars has been nothing short of exceptional. Since the new ownership took over in December 2024 and founded A Little Scholars Childcare Center, the transformation has been incredible. Ms. Patricia (the new Owner) and Ms. Rosemary (the new Director) have truly poured their hearts into revitalizing the center, and the difference is visible in every aspect, from the thoughtfully updated environment to the amazing team they’ve built. One of the best parts of the transition was that the wonderful Ms. Shelly, our little one’s original teacher, stayed on. Her warmth, consistency, and genuine care have meant the world to our family. She’s a big reason our little one is so excited to go to school each day. The entire staff is deeply invested in the children’s growth and happiness. They’ve created a nurturing, joyful, and safe space where children are encouraged to thrive. It’s clear how much thought, love, and energy goes into everything the team does, from daily activities to the overall culture of the school. And as a parent, that means the world to us. We feel incredibly lucky to be part of this community. Thank you to everyone at A Little Scholars for the care and heart you bring every single day. We couldn’t ask for more.
Markus WeldonMay 26, 2025I’ve taken my son to other day cares. This child care center by far is the best one. They have shown great patience and care for my son. The teachers ( Ms. A & Ms. Gabby and all the other teachers) are all very friendly and make it a warm welcoming setting for my little one. Rosemary’s experience shows in a great way! The way she interacts with the kids and teaches positive behavior and reinforcement. Glad to see this new child care center growing, with a staff that is unmatched.
Laura RamirezMay 23, 2025As a first-time mom, i was hesitant to place my child in a childcare setting, but this facility has made the transition from at home care to center based easier. The staff is very good with the kids and they are patient and understanding with us adults. I honestly appreciate that they communicate with me any new developments my child has and I can adress any questions and be taken seriously. My son loves going there and has established a routine. I appreciate the care and attention they give all kids. This is a good caring place to put your kid in.
Samira Aguilera-GonzalezMay 21, 2025The teachers at the school are great but unfortunately the head owner Ms Chris is very verbally abusive to the staff and children. She will yell at her staff right in front the kids. She does not give her employees any 10 minute breaks. And only gives one hour lunch after working 5 hours straight. Makes many of the teachers light headed. The school is definitely going downhill because of this horrible management. The school should be shut down and reopen under new management and the owner should retire.

Questions parents ask about LITTLE SCHOLARS CHILDCARE CENTER
Is LITTLE SCHOLARS CHILDCARE CENTER a licensed child care provider in California?
- Yes. LITTLE SCHOLARS CHILDCARE CENTER holds California licence 334846950, currently listed as "PENDING" by the Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division. Confirm current standing with the agency before enrolling.
What kind of child care licence does LITTLE SCHOLARS CHILDCARE CENTER hold?
- California licenses LITTLE SCHOLARS CHILDCARE CENTER as a single licensed child care center, a category that covers infant, preschool and school-age care under a single licence. The category comes from the state's own licence record, not from the provider.
How many children can LITTLE SCHOLARS CHILDCARE CENTER care for?
- LITTLE SCHOLARS CHILDCARE CENTER is licensed for up to 98 children at one time. Licensed capacity is a ceiling set by the state, not a count of current enrolment or of available places.
Has California visited LITTLE SCHOLARS CHILDCARE CENTER in response to a complaint?
- California records no complaint-driven visits to LITTLE SCHOLARS CHILDCARE CENTER. That means no concern prompted a visit on the public record, which is not the same as a clean inspection history: the state does not publish what its visits found.
Who holds the licence for LITTLE SCHOLARS CHILDCARE CENTER?
- The licence is held by VERONICA MARTINEZ. California lists the licensee separately from the facility name, so the two often differ. The facility is in Riverside County.
