What California does not publish here

The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

  • We’re getting ready for kindergarten after 2.5 years at little sunshine and it’s so bittersweet! The teachers are amazing, the vibes are immaculate, and we’ve got a folder of artwork to cherish forever. There’s been so many fun and interesting things that the teachers do. So much enrichment all done through play to make it fun and engaging. Highly recommend. We’re gunna miss it here.

  • We are so grateful for Ms. Amy, Ms. Daniela, Ms. Lulu, Ms. Irene, and all the teachers at Little Sunshine! When my son was 3 he started at a different preschool, and unfortunately it wasn't the right fit for him. So then we were stuck trying to find a spot last minute in another school. Out of all the schools I contacted, Ms. Amy was the ONLY one who tried to work out a way to fit my son in. It was immediately such a contrast from the other school - so much fun and laughter! The teachers are kind, caring, responsible and engaged. They do all kinds of fun learning activities that foster their growth and imagination. My daughter ended up going to Little Sunshine as well, so we were there a total of 4 years. My kids are now in elementary school but we still visit periodically because they loved it so much. I would highly recommend Little Sunshine to any parents looking for a loving play-based preschool.

  • Our 2.5 year old is at Little Sunshine, and he is absolutely thriving there! He used to be at an in home daycare but then was assessed with severe developmental delays in receptive and expressive speech at 16 months, with some physical delays as well. The specialists recommended that we switch him to a preschool with structure and opportunities to interact with more kids his age. We toured and interviewed many preschools in the area and landed on Little Sunshine because of how intentional the Director Ms. Amy was, as well as all of the teachers, with interacting and developing the kids. We wanted a place that wouldn't just be a childcare center that "babysat kids," but a place where development and interaction with teachers happened to really work with his speech. With the help of practitioners and Little Sunshine, in half a year, our kiddo no longer has any delays and is a chatty little kid! I believe Little Sunshine was a big part of that. They have been incredible flexible with scheduling since we have so many Speech Therapy and OT appointments for our son, and we are so grateful. Even if we aren't scheduled for a day to come in but we need to send him, Ms. Amy is always willing to take him and pro-rate the day. I love that they give me a run down of his day and how he did every time I go and pick them up. They're never rushing around or too busy to talk. Also, we potty trained him this past month and it has been a slower process, but the teachers have been really great about bringing him regularly and partnering with our training we did at home (We did the "Oh Crap!" method over winter break). Another bonus is that we wanted our kiddo to have Cantonese exposure, and Ms. Amy is very intentional with conversing with him in Cantonese. She even talks to me in Canto to help me practice too haha. I also like that they are very clean, doing a thorough cleaning at the end of every day and bringing the kids to wash their hands often. Best of all, our kiddo absolutely LOVES going to Little Sunshine and always asks to go even if it's a weekend. They have fun outdoor and indoor play and no screens. They really facilitate his interests and we are so grateful for this learning center. We 100% recommend Little Sunshine and their teachers!

  • We love Little Sunshine! As first time parents, we were very nervous about sending our two year old to preschool, but Ms Amy and all of the teachers at Little Sunshine provided a caring, nurturing, and fun environment for our son to thrive. Our son has learned a lot in the two years that he has been there, both academically and socially, and he seems to have fun while doing so.

  • My daughter attended Little Sunshine for more than two years and absolutely loved it. She learned so much and made many friends. It made my day when she would tell me about all the fun things she did, what she ate at lunch, and who she played with. Ms. Amy (the director) really does a good job of making the school fun, full of learning and play, exposing them to all kinds of arts/crafts, song/dance; and overall preparing my daughter for kindergarten. They even helped potty train her during her first year there. Between Ms. Amy and the other awesome teachers, there is good exposure and immersion to different languages such as Cantonese, Mandarin, and Spanish. I'd highly recommend Little Sunshine for any parents looking for a good preschool.

  • My son has been at Little Sunshine for 2 years. I love that they have 2 classes to split the toddlers and preschoolers, this allows for kids to transition at their own pace and doesn’t put pressure on potty training by a certain age like many other preschools in the area. We love Miss Amy, she really believes in the kids and helps them succeed! All of the teachers are great and have been there a long time, which shows their commitment to the school and kids! We had other bad experiences at a home daycare and local preschool and are so glad we found Little Sunshine, we highly recommend!!
