What California does not publish here
The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

In an era of iPads and distraction, Lydia's model of socialization and outdoor free-play were monumental in both our children's early development. Our 2 kids loved going to Little Tree so much that they still point it out every-time we pass by and constantly talk about the teachers they loved and the friendships they started. Not only are our kids still best friends with many of their old class mates, my wife and I have become best friends with many of the parents that we met at LT. We highly recommend LT and hope your family has the same experience ours did.
Aaron MarkleJun 19, 2026It's not cheap, but you do get what you pay for! We loved how much time our daughter spent playing, especially outdoors, and even in the mud. As teachers, we know that preschoolers need to play much more than sit in seats doing mini-kindergarten. We toured many preschools, and her older sister went to different ones, and this was by far the best experience. Our daughter loved her teachers so much - they even came to her birthday party, which was the biggest thrill for a little kid. Lastly, Little Tree organizes great family events, both during and after the school day...and the owner's husband makes amazing pizza:)
Ingrid BrennanDec 4, 2017An exceptional school with incredible teaching staff! My daughter has been attending Little Tree for three months and we could not be happier. My wife and I visited over half a dozen preschools in the area, and we came away from Little Tree knowing it was far and away the best school we visited. The outdoor play area is second to none, with a huge wooden playlet, a tricycle track, a mini soccer field, a hedge maze, play houses, and so much more. It is tucked away in a safe and secure location with no part of the playground running along the road or sidewalk. The teachers here are incredible and kind. They know your child and treat them as a unique growing individual. Everyone working at Little Tree has a degree or is working on their degree in early childhood education. There are no babysitters here, everyone is an educator and it shows. There are always multiple adults always keeping an eye on the children and encouraging play, curiosity, creativity, and social and emotional growth. It isn't the cheapest preschool in town, but it is also one of the few secular pre-schools around. You really get what you pay for, and that is a high quality environment with fantastic teachers and staff. I highly recommend Little Tree Preschool, it really is worth it. I also wanted to add how much Little Tree cares about the parents and the family environment. They offer in-home visits so your child's teacher can get to know your child in their own space. They offer monthly parent's nights out, where your child can stay and play at the preschool from 6-9pm so mom and dad can go out. They have fantastic events like their Fall and Spring Festivals, which create a sense of community among the children, teachers, and family.
Todd LagerbergOct 26, 2017Both of my children attended this preschool. Best experience ever. The teachers are the kindest and most compassionate people. They interact very well with the kids. My little girl became instantly attached to Ms Lacy and Ms Layla. The pricing is slightly higher than others around but you definitely get what you pay for, and more!
Hector GarciaSep 16, 2016The teachers here are outstanding and the hands on learning is one of a kind.
Ashley BeckwithMay 26, 2016My daughter went here. We still our in contact with many of the kids and parents who attended, and credit little tree for creating such a community style environment. The staff was always amazing, and seemed to understand my child. My next child will certainly attend here. Not to mention the parents nights out are a nice occasional touch.
