Awesome church that has served its community in a variety of meaningful l, tangible ways for years. Known for their very impressive youth choir, which has just wrapped up after the directors (a beloved couple who did the work for 43 years) were forced out by a new, egotistical head pastor (who could t even be bothered to come to their going away concert that brought people from all around the world). I imagine their overall congregation numbers will drop dramatically as a result and their youth programs may suffer too. Such a shame that one person’s ego can ruin something so good for so many people. The good news is that there are lots of options for good Methodist churches in this area. The current pastor here may not last (I hope) but the impact of the youth choir absolutely will. Keeping my fingers crossed for LAUMC.
Joanna MillerJul 20, 2025They host the Los Altos Morning Forum, which is an excellent year long program of diverse speakers and topics. The next program will be on 10 important San Francisco buildings. I can't wait to hear and see it. Zoom is also available for people to view the presentations. The annual membership is well worth it!
