What California does not publish here
The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

I work here as a Lead Preschool Teacher, and I truly enjoy being part of such a supportive team. The owners and staff create a welcoming, positive environment where everyone works together to help children learn and grow. I love working with children from all cultures and backgrounds in a safe, inclusive setting.
Yuliya VilchisJun 28, 2026I think the concept of having childcare while parents are in a "coworking" space is good, but not well executed here. Most of the daycare staff are young kids who found the job description online and have no real childcare experience. Our child was 4 months old when he started here, and he was basically left to sit in a bouncer most of the time while a group of 2-6 other kids filled a space that is about 8' x 8' room. However, there is a nice blacked out nap room adjoining this space and the staff did work hard to get our son on a bottle after having been breast fed for 4 months. Ultimately, we only lasted a month and a half because it was horribly uncomfortable for my wife to go up and down three flights of stairs in between zoom meetings to see our son, and most of the seating is not ergonomic at all and more cafe style chairs/tables. Also private rooms cost extra so you either bug your co-working neighbors all day with calls, or hope you can book out a private room all day. Lastly, since this is not technically a true licensed day care, the parents can't leave the premises. So if you normally take walk breaks during your work day, or wanna pop out to grab coffee, you have to check your child out of the daycare. Ultimately, we hired a full time nanny to work at our home and our quality of life (plus our baby's health/happiness) went way up. To each their own tho and some people do truly love this place. Just wanted to give other parents debating the same decision we made some clarity!
Colton SimmonsAug 12, 2025When looking for under two daycare I disregarded initial recommendations for The Makers Place. I loved the idea of a co-working space, but I didn't think it was a viable option for someone working full time. After nearly a year of searching my return to work was rapidly approaching and I was still unhappy with my daycare options. I finally reached out to Leslie to see how/if we could make this work and my only regret is that this was not an option six years ago when my daughter was born. Having my baby in the same building with me so I can check on him anytime and breastfeed has made the transition back to work far less stressful for both of us. Watching him with the staff it is easy to see he is loved and very well cared for. I can focus on work without worrying about him, but I can also take advantage of his proximity to get in extra cuddles when needed. Even though we are both in the same building the staff still posts status updates and photos which help especially when I am tied up with work. If you can work remotely, I highly recommend checking out The Makers Place. Come for an in person visit so you can get a true feel for the place. Being here it is easy to tell how much thought has been put into the environment, staffing and culture.
Staci SaladinoMay 15, 2025I joined this community at the beginning of the year with my daughter in the Mini Makers Studio, and it's been so wonderful all around. I hated not being able to give my child my full attention during the day while trying to work full time from home. This place has helped with my work-life balance and now I feel like I can focus on my work at work, and come home and focus on being a mom instead of trying to juggle both. The people here are lovely and the community of other co-workers/parents is really invaluable as a first-time parent!
Cortney MesserMay 9, 2025We LOVE The Makers Place! I wasn't even in the market for daycare or coworking space, but we checked out TMP on a whim and 4 months later, my 1.5 year old is already much more social and she engages with her environment more than ever. Before joining, I often worked late after a busy day of multi-tasking, but that doesn't happen much anymore since I can finally focus on work - plus have the peace of mind that my child is in good hands close by. It is also affordable for us since we aren't locked in to a specific schedule; the flexibility is a huge perk. All the caregivers are wonderful and treat me and my child as distinct individuals with our own needs. We've been really impressed with how the caregivers & team communicate with us and address any concerns. The workspaces are clean and comfortable and the Wifi is great - highly recommend working from the patio on a sunny day! We feel so lucky we found this community!
Erin GreggApr 10, 2025I started bringing my 11 month old daughter to The Makers Place for a half day each Friday so I can manage my business while working upstairs, but also make sure she socializes and interacts with other children. Just two weeks in I am already floored by the amount of attention and care my daughter is receiving. I am going from helicopter parent to trusting the process, and my ability to get actual work done is skyrocketing, built upon the peace of mind this space is creating. It’s truly designed to symbiotically elevate parents and children, through safety, education, and fun. It’s a true gem of our city.

- Yes. MAKERS PLACE, THE holds California licence 343623934, currently listed as "LICENSED" by the Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division, first issued on June 17, 2021. Confirm current standing with the agency before enrolling.
What kind of child care licence does MAKERS PLACE, THE hold?

How often has California inspected MAKERS PLACE, THE?
- California records 3 inspection visits to MAKERS PLACE, THE, the most recent on December 18, 2025 and the earliest on record June 2, 2022. Who holds the licence for MAKERS PLACE, THE?
- The licence is held by ENTROPY BEHAVIOR SERVICES, INC.. California lists the licensee separately from the facility name, so the two often differ. The facility is in Sacramento County.
