What California does not publish here
The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

We had an amazing experience with Mandala Children's House and couldn’t be happier with our choice. The teachers are incredibly kind, patient, and genuinely care about each child. They made a real effort to keep me regularly updated on my child’s progress, daily activities, and milestones, which gave me so much reassurance as a parent. The Montessori approach here is very hands-on and practical, and I could clearly see how it helped my child develop independence, problem-solving skills, and confidence. The classroom environment is calm, structured, and nurturing, allowing children to learn at their own pace while still being gently guided. What stood out most was how well the school prepared my child for kindergarten. Academically and emotionally, my child felt ready for the transition, and the teachers also did a wonderful job helping them learn how to adapt to change and new routines. We are truly grateful for the dedication and support from the entire team and would highly recommend this school to any parent looking for a positive and enriching early learning environment.
Varsha SaiFeb 11, 2026I wanted to love this school but during my son's transition from Early Pre-School to the next stage of regular pre-school, the issues started arising. I experienced no process or support from the school or the director or the board of educators. One senior level teacher in my son's class stated to my husband during a pick up exchange that my son had an impulse control issue and he should seek out help from his pediatrician. This left us in shock in how insensitive this recommendation was thrusted on us in a quick exchange. No background or clarity. We confronted the director and teaching staff and we're told we were not a fit for the school and they have the right to refuse anyone from their school. This done at a time during the holidays and at adding strain to an already stacked mental load for any parent. They did not go through any process to evaluate this suggestive reccomendation or provide any documented evidence as to what they even were trying to evaluate. Because, I was questioning and asking for evidence and wanting to have concrete examples they deemed contributed to this behavior evaluation, it was deemed an unfit relationship with the school. I would not recommend this school to anyone who wants process and structure in evaluation of behavioral issues. You will not get it here. They back their teachers only and disregard the mental health their suggestive reccomendations can have on the parents.
Elizabeth RamirezDec 10, 2025Mandala is a wonderful school! It’s my son’s first experience and he’s really enjoying it. The teachers and staff are top notch.
Leslie ValeJan 16, 2023Mandala is hands down the absolutely BEST preschool in the Bay Area. The facilities are very clean and organized, the playground is big and fun, the curriculum is very well-rounded, and most importantly, the teachers are extremely caring, experienced and take a holistic approach to childcare and education. I'm a school Director myself, and am quite particular when it comes to education. I've happily enrolled both of my children at this school. Needless to say, I highly recommend Mandala's Children's House!
Alicia DusseaultJan 13, 2023Mandala Children’s House is great. Our daughter has been attending there for a little over a year now and has gotten to know many of the teachers in the Cocoon and Ladybug classes. They are all very patient and understanding, and they all take the time to make a connection with our daughter. She actually enjoys going to school now!
Dixie XueFeb 1, 2019Mandala is a like Montessori school for toddlers. It has helped my daughter with her independent and creativity! Very thankful for the teachers at Mandala.

Questions parents ask about MANDALA CHILDREN'S HOUSE
Is MANDALA CHILDREN'S HOUSE a licensed child care provider in California?
- Yes. MANDALA CHILDREN'S HOUSE holds California licence 430709411, currently listed as "LICENSED" by the Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division, first issued on March 13, 1995. Confirm current standing with the agency before enrolling.
What kind of child care licence does MANDALA CHILDREN'S HOUSE hold?
- California licenses MANDALA CHILDREN'S HOUSE as a day care center, a category that covers preschool-age children in a centre-based programme. The category comes from the state's own licence record, not from the provider.
How many children can MANDALA CHILDREN'S HOUSE care for?
- MANDALA CHILDREN'S HOUSE is licensed for up to 60 children at one time. Licensed capacity is a ceiling set by the state, not a count of current enrolment or of available places.
How often has California inspected MANDALA CHILDREN'S HOUSE?
- California records 3 inspection visits to MANDALA CHILDREN'S HOUSE, the most recent on March 9, 2026 and the earliest on record March 29, 2023. The state publishes the dates of these visits but not what they found, so this count reflects licensing activity, not results. Read the findings themselves in California's own facility search.
Has California visited MANDALA CHILDREN'S HOUSE in response to a complaint?
- California records no complaint-driven visits to MANDALA CHILDREN'S HOUSE. That means no concern prompted a visit on the public record, which is not the same as a clean inspection history: the state does not publish what its visits found.
Who holds the licence for MANDALA CHILDREN'S HOUSE?
- The licence is held by MANDALA CHILDREN'S HOUSE. California lists the licensee separately from the facility name, so the two often differ. The facility is in Santa Clara County.
