Licensing visits on record

California records 0 routine inspection visits and no visits prompted by a complaint to MARY LAW PRIVATE SCHOOL.

What California does not publish here

The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

  • HORRIBLE. My son used to go to this school absolutely horrible so were the teachers too. Don't bring your kids to this school!

  • This school introduces music, art, and computers for preschoolers. No other preschools mentioned this in their tours.

  • I know that all these reviews are based on individual experiences and they all have their own merit but my experience with this school has been nothing but positive! My son has been at Mary Law Private School since he was 3 years old. He learned to write his full name in early preschool, read before kindergarten, and is now in 3rd grade and excelling in all subjects including Spanish and Music. I couldn’t be more impressed with the hands on teaching and curriculum. The school might be old and the classes are small, but looks can be deceiving. The teachers and office staff have considerable years of experience and provide a safe, bully free, learning environment for all their students. Not to mention, their flexible childcare and cost is impossible to beat, especially for a single mom. The most important thing to me as a single parent is to know that when I drop my son off at school he is in safe hands. Mary Law is like a second family and I have no doubt that they care and watch out for the well-being of their students every day. They know all the students by name and most of the parents. I guess the only downside, to balance this review, is the repetition of studies and grueling homework. To be fair though, the students certainly won’t lack in knowledge and will have a much better understanding of the demands of future grades and expectations.

  • I would NOT recommend this school to anyone. The font desk staff (Mika Mercado) was VERY rude about concerned parents calling in to check on their children. I was basically told to stop calling and bothering when I had only called once that day and once the day prior only (because it was only my daughters first day of preschool) and I had information to give to the teacher about my daughter. I was also told I could make payment during end of the week but received a phone call during work hours basically forcing me to get off work to immediately make a payment or my child will need to pick up and get dropped out of school that day even after we discussed and agreed that I could make the payment at the end of the week ensuring me that it wasn't going to be a problem. Also when I arrived to pick up my daughter early from school I walked in on my daughter crying very badly while the teachers were just ignoring her and never gave me a straight answer to why she started crying like that. My experience showed me that this school doesn't care about the children's well being and more about money. I'm glad I learned from my mistake and would never take my daughter there again. Thankfully my daughter is now enrolled at a CLEAN Christian school with friendly, understanding and helpful staff that genuinely care for their students!

  • If you are looking for good education this is NOT the place to go. You will be paying for teachers that have 0 patience and no interest in bettering your child's future. I had to question the educational background of the teachers that teach at this school- hands down worst experience ever. My child's self-esteem and self worth was destroyed by this school ad their teaching staff. They also refused to let him stay at the school if he went on medication for his ADHD they said it was not allowed there .

  • The teachers and staff are mediocre. If Ms.Debbie is still working there she has to be one of the most unprofessional and rude educator I ever met.
