What California does not publish here
The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

Our daughter, Delanie, attended La Casita Day School, now Meyal International, and the experience had a lasting impact on her life. From the moment we joined the school community, we felt welcomed, supported, and genuinely cared for. The teachers created a nurturing environment that encouraged curiosity, confidence, kindness, and a love of learning. Looking back, many of the qualities we see in Delanie today—her independence, compassion, and positive attitude toward education—were strengthened during her time at La Casita. What set the school apart was the sense of family and community. We always felt that our daughter was known, valued, and encouraged to be her best self. We are incredibly grateful for the role La Casita Day School played in her early years and would wholeheartedly recommend Meyal International to any family looking for a caring, enriching, and supportive educational environment for their child. Thank you for the lasting memories and positive foundation you helped create for our family.
Lauren BarneyJun 17, 2026Choosing this incredible bilangual school for our daughters has been one of the best decisions we’ve made. Our first daughter was part of the inaugural class, and when the time came, there was no question that our second would follow. The strong female leadership, the encouragement of creativity & self-expression, & most importantly, for us, the deep sense of culture and family have created such a nurturing environment & strong foundation. It’s been amazing to watch our girls grow into confident, independent, bilangual young women with such a strong sense of who they are exceling in their schooling. This school became our family & we could not have done it without them.
Rosa ChristensenJun 14, 2026My daughters attended this Spanish immersion elementary school for several years. It was one of the best elementary schools they attended. They didn’t realize they were working hard. They played. They danced. They sang. They cooked. They painted. All of these activities were led by native Spanish speakers. Now, ten years later, their benefits continue. Their high school Spanish teacher has commented about their native accents. They understand far more Spanish because of their young immersion experience. In addition to language skills, this school taught them the beauty of diversity. It taught them to think creatively outside of a mono cultural lens. They learned to value different ways of living. They learned how to thrive with people from a different culture. They learned to appreciate differences, and evolve. This experience opened their eyes to the world. Thank you, Irene and Maria. Thank you for this gift you have given our family.
Linda SchiltgenJun 11, 2026My boys both attended La Casita Day School (now Meyal International) for two years, one year overlapping and one year alone each, so we spent a consecutive 3 years at this school. We all seriously GRIEVED when it was time for younger brother to move on to Kindergarten. It was like moving away from family, which is exactly why we chose this school, and what we loved so much about it. We sincerely felt like we were surrounded by family. I toured multiple preschools before enrolling my kids, and so many of them felt institutional. They were definitely not places I wanted to leave my babies. But from the very first moments, Maestra Irene and Maestra Maria welcomed us like family. This preschool has a heartbeat, a soul and lots of warm hugs. The vibe was just 100% different than anywhere else we toured. There was joy, music, art, fresh air, kind friends and so much love. For me, the Spanish immersion was a lucky bonus. I know a lot of families continued with Spanish in elementary school, but we chose a more conventional route, so my kids only remember a handful of Spanish words all these years later. But they definitely remember how loved they were at preschool. If you’re looking for the best preschool, I can’t recommend Meyal International enough. ❤️
Nicki WellsJun 9, 2026We’re now on our second child (of four) going through La Casita Day School, and honestly… we wish we would’ve found it sooner for our older two. For a little background: our first two kids started in Montessori programs in Southern California (San Diego) and Marin, then we tried another Spanish immersion school locally. While we loved the idea, the experience was very inflexible (especially around drop-off windows) and it felt like families weren’t able to be truly involved. We eventually moved our oldest two to Sonoma Country Day, and later tried another Montessori school with a strong Spanish focus for our third child — but after changes in leadership, it just wasn’t going well. Then we found La Casita (an established school in a new location) and it has been exactly what our family needed. Our daughter Charlotte stayed through TK, and the progress was incredible — she was speaking unbelievably good Spanish, was very prepared for kindergarten, and is actually ahead in areas like sounding out/enunciation, early reading skills, and math. Now our youngest, Isabella, has been there since she was two, and as a three-year-old she’s doing amazingly well and speaks Spanish so well for her age. Beyond academics and language, the school is extremely safe, warm, and welcoming. The staff is kind and attentive, and most importantly, our kids love going. After experiencing multiple programs over the years, it’s a huge relief to finally find a school that feels like the right fit — and one that is truly helping our kids thrive. We’re so grateful for La Casita and highly recommend it to any family looking for Spanish immersion with a supportive, loving environment.
April SchafferJan 27, 2026This is a beautiful school. The staff is dedicated and passionate about educating their students. Beyond grateful that we found this little gem. They have community events every now and then if you would like more information about this school.

Questions parents ask about MEYAL INTERNATIONAL
Is MEYAL INTERNATIONAL a licensed child care provider in California?
- Yes. MEYAL INTERNATIONAL holds California licence 493010225, currently listed as "LICENSED" by the Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division, first issued on September 27, 2022. Confirm current standing with the agency before enrolling.
What kind of child care licence does MEYAL INTERNATIONAL hold?
- California licenses MEYAL INTERNATIONAL as a day care center, a category that covers preschool-age children in a centre-based programme. The category comes from the state's own licence record, not from the provider.
How many children can MEYAL INTERNATIONAL care for?
- MEYAL INTERNATIONAL is licensed for up to 134 children at one time. Licensed capacity is a ceiling set by the state, not a count of current enrolment or of available places.
How often has California inspected MEYAL INTERNATIONAL?
- California records 1 inspection visit to MEYAL INTERNATIONAL, the most recent on June 25, 2026. The state publishes the dates of these visits but not what they found, so this count reflects licensing activity, not results. Read the findings themselves in California's own facility search.
Has California visited MEYAL INTERNATIONAL in response to a complaint?
- California records 1 complaint-driven visit to MEYAL INTERNATIONAL. A complaint visit means someone raised a concern and the state went to look. California does not publish what those visits found, so the count on its own does not say whether any concern was upheld.
Who holds the licence for MEYAL INTERNATIONAL?
- The licence is held by MEYAL INTERNATIONAL. California lists the licensee separately from the facility name, so the two often differ. The facility is in Sonoma County.
