What California does not publish here
The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

We are absolutely thrilled to be a part of the Mission Hills Community Preschool. From the moment we walked through the doors, it was clear that this is a truly exceptional place for our child's growth and development. First and foremost, the staff at MHCP is outstanding. The teachers and director are not only highly qualified but also incredibly caring and compassionate. They go above and beyond to create an environment that is not only educational but also nurturing and filled with positivity. It's heartwarming to see how they interact with the children, fostering a sense of belonging and security. One of the things that truly sets MHCP apart is the thoughtful setup of both indoor and outdoor spaces. These spaces are designed to encourage creative exploration and play. It's evident that a lot of care and planning has gone into making sure every corner is an opportunity for learning and fun. What's even more impressive is that they continuously introduce new stations and activities, keeping the children engaged and excited to come to school every day. Our son absolutely adores MHCP and always looks forward to his time there, and that's the greatest testament to its quality. As parents, we have peace of mind knowing that he’s not only safe but also genuinely happy. He’s having fun, getting his hands dirty, making friends, and growing both academically and emotionally. MHCP is more than just a childcare program; it's a place where children thrive. We couldn't be happier with our decision to enroll our son here, and we highly recommend it to any parent looking for a loving and enriching environment for their little ones. Thank you, MHCP, for making a positive impact on our family's life!
Matthew SegalSep 26, 2023We are so happy to be at MHCP! The teachers and director are all wonderful, and they create such a kind, nurturing, and positive environment for the kids. The indoor and outdoor spaces are set up really thoughtfully for lots of creative exploration and play, and they are always setting up fun new stations and activities. My daughter loves it there, and I love knowing that she is safe, happy, having fun, getting dirty, making friends, and growing in so many ways.
allison lynnSep 23, 2023Can’t imagine a more loving and fun place for our toddler to go to. The staff is beyond amazing and caring and the place has everything for any child’s needs and interests. Our kiddo doesn’t want to go home at pick up time; that’s how much he’s loving it!
Inga MachairasSep 20, 2023I was referred to MHCP by a friend and I could not be happier to have my son here. The teachers are amazing and they provide a really warm and enriching environment. My son is super excited to go here every morning.
Lauren FlemingSep 20, 2023We love this preschool! The teachers are so caring and know each kid so well, including their learning and play styles. I love how the send out pictures daily and have a cute lesson plan sent out each week so we can feel involved and talk with our son about what he is learning and doing each day. Thank you MHCP!

Questions parents ask about MISSION HILLS COMMUNITY PRESCHOOL
Is MISSION HILLS COMMUNITY PRESCHOOL a licensed child care provider in California?
- Yes. MISSION HILLS COMMUNITY PRESCHOOL holds California licence 370800381, currently listed as "LICENSED" by the Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division, first issued on September 13, 1973. Confirm current standing with the agency before enrolling.
What kind of child care licence does MISSION HILLS COMMUNITY PRESCHOOL hold?
- California licenses MISSION HILLS COMMUNITY PRESCHOOL as a day care center, a category that covers preschool-age children in a centre-based programme. The category comes from the state's own licence record, not from the provider.
How many children can MISSION HILLS COMMUNITY PRESCHOOL care for?
- MISSION HILLS COMMUNITY PRESCHOOL is licensed for up to 34 children at one time. Licensed capacity is a ceiling set by the state, not a count of current enrolment or of available places.
How often has California inspected MISSION HILLS COMMUNITY PRESCHOOL?
- California records 3 inspection visits to MISSION HILLS COMMUNITY PRESCHOOL, the most recent on July 23, 2026 and the earliest on record February 1, 2023. The state publishes the dates of these visits but not what they found, so this count reflects licensing activity, not results. Read the findings themselves in California's own facility search.
Has California visited MISSION HILLS COMMUNITY PRESCHOOL in response to a complaint?
- California records no complaint-driven visits to MISSION HILLS COMMUNITY PRESCHOOL. That means no concern prompted a visit on the public record, which is not the same as a clean inspection history: the state does not publish what its visits found.
Who holds the licence for MISSION HILLS COMMUNITY PRESCHOOL?
- The licence is held by MISSION HILLS FIRST CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH. California lists the licensee separately from the facility name, so the two often differ. The facility is in San Diego County.
