  • Such long overdue praise for a school that has truly changed our lives! It was a huge personal defeat for me to pull my son from the local homeschool/onsite charter combo program to honor his desire to attend a school outside our home five days a week. That disappointment was washed away the moment I met Janna Jones, the head master at MAA. Janna’s passion for each child’s development on both personal and educational levels is awe-inspiring. I knew her extensive knowledge of the Montessori Method would challenge my son in ways that I have hoped for him even before his birth. MAA has allowed our curious, energetic son to study extensive academics, team building, responsibility, compassion and a thirst for answers, all while spending very little time sedentary. I cannot believe the extracurricular offerings that included in the affordable tuition; to name a few: Spanish, Human Values, Woodworking, Music and Movement, Physical Expression, Creative Expression (Art), Practical Life, Sports…the list goes on and on. Let me give you an example of a time my husband I were absolutely convinced that making sacrifices in our budget to pay for private education is one of the best decisions we have made as parents. We attended our first Christmas Jubilee at MAA a few weeks ago. The current fifteen students ranging ages 4 to 11 put on a seamless half hour musical program for our enjoyment; which included instrumental solos, multilingual song, and complicated choreography…with only the support of their peers! Their Music and Movement teacher was unable to attend the program, and I cannot imagine the performance being any more perfect than it turned out. My son loves every minute of school; his thirst for knowledge just grows and grows. It is such a delight to be confident that he is being engaged, well cared for, and genuinely loved all day long. Thank you Janna, Karol and Keri, for helping us raise our dynamic, delightful boy...his sister can’t wait to follow suit!
