What California does not publish here
The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

Amazing place and staff!!!
Kenneth CurryAug 12, 2026The staff, teachers and environment is unmatched. We love it there!
PaigeAug 12, 2026Both of our children attended this Montessori, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. Now that our second child is preparing to leave for kindergarten, we’re reflecting on how grateful we are for the care, guidance, and education they received here. The teachers and staff have been so supportive, nurturing, and genuinely invested in our kids’ growth and development. We’ve seen tremendous progress not only academically, but also socially and emotionally. Our children developed confidence, independence, curiosity, and a true love of learning. It’s been such a positive and meaningful part of our family’s journey, and we highly recommend this Montessori to any parents looking for a caring and enriching environment for their children.
Shyam PMay 26, 2026I was really looking forward to a positive experience here, but I cannot in good conscience recommend this place. Every time I picked my son up the lead teacher would have a problem with him. I can tell she just didn’t like him and he was being treated differently by her. The assistant was nice and seemed caring towards him, but the lead teacher had a strong bias against him. I wonder why they accept 18 month olds when they expect them to behave like 2.5 year olds. I could tell my son was learning new things, yet the lead teacher would never say anything nice about him, she would only tell me negative things. He went from a very happy, curious boy to being very upset and rebellious. When raising those concerns to the director, she brushed us off and told us we could look for other schools. When we asked if he could be switched to another class that was also met with a no. I think due to their long wait list, they don’t really care to work with parents or improve the child’s experience.
JessicaApr 30, 2026The school failed to provide the same level of care for my daughter’s egg allergy. Outside food such as Chick-fil-A, Raising Cane’s,cupcakes, and other items containing egg were routinely allowed in the classroom. While I chose not to raise an issue, it became clear that the school had double standards. The school states that it creates individualized health plans for each child. If such plans were truly in place, families would be notified before bringing outside food into the classroom. During a conversation with Tia, her response was dismissive, concerning and arrogant. She asked do you expect the school to tell parents they could not bring foods containing egg. My answer was yes, just as the school already does for peanuts and nuts. Anything less is negligent. There have been two incidents. On one occasion, my daughter was not given pizza because staff incorrectly believed the dough contained egg. No attempt was made to verify this information or contact me. Instead, my child went without lunch, and I was told it was not a concern because she had snacks in her backpack. On another occasion, my daughter consumed mac and cheese containing egg that was brought in by another family for a birthday celebration. I had packed her lunch that day. Staff were unaware that she had eaten the mac and cheese, and there are no classroom cameras to clarify how this occurred. On another note they raised a concern to me about my daughter’s lunch that had a granola bar that stated “may have traces of peanuts”. A simple Google search shows that many people with an anaphylactic peanut allergy still choose to eat those products. Another quick search also shows that companies sanitize their equipment, yet are still legally required to include “may contain” or “may contain traces of peanuts” labels. Those warnings exist to limit liability. What makes it different for my child to eat this granola bar when, in fact, they have never once cared about her egg allergy. May I note there hasn’t been a single anaphylactic incident that ever occurred with “may have traces” These policies aren’t about individual choice. It’s because NO one wants to be sued. Very double standard. ProCare app was also terminated immediately upon notice of cancellation, despite our child remaining enrolled and in their care for five more days. Procare is the school’s primary system for communication and care documentation. After I advised them off this they reinstated my privileges to the pro-care app but deleted all messages in regard to Kiah’s food allergies. These incidents demonstrate a lack of communication, and consistency in enforcing food allergy policies. I would not recommend this preschool to families whose children have food allergies of any kind.
janelle wintersFeb 2, 2026Our daughter has thrived under the care of the teachers at Montessori Academy on the Ranch. We can’t recommend this place enough!

What kind of child care licence does MONTESSORI ACADEMY ON THE RANCH hold?
- California licenses MONTESSORI ACADEMY ON THE RANCH as a day care center, a category that covers preschool-age children in a centre-based programme. The category comes from the state's own licence record, not from the provider.
How many children can MONTESSORI ACADEMY ON THE RANCH care for?
- MONTESSORI ACADEMY ON THE RANCH is licensed for up to 180 children at one time. Licensed capacity is a ceiling set by the state, not a count of current enrolment or of available places.
How often has California inspected MONTESSORI ACADEMY ON THE RANCH?
- California records 3 inspection visits to MONTESSORI ACADEMY ON THE RANCH, the most recent on June 18, 2026 and the earliest on record March 22, 2024. Has California visited MONTESSORI ACADEMY ON THE RANCH in response to a complaint?
- California records no complaint-driven visits to MONTESSORI ACADEMY ON THE RANCH. That means no concern prompted a visit on the public record, which is not the same as a clean inspection history: the state does not publish what its visits found.
Who holds the licence for MONTESSORI ACADEMY ON THE RANCH?
- The licence is held by ES CAL II LLC. California lists the licensee separately from the facility name, so the two often differ. The facility is in Orange County.
