  • My grandson has attended this pre-school for three-and-a-half years. Our family has been very happy that our grandson had such a positive and rewarding time at Montessori School of La Jolla. The teachers are warm and caring and they know what the kindergarten teachers are hoping to get when your child arrives in their class. Children are taught to relate peacefully to one another. The math materials are concrete and sequenced and provide an outstanding foundation for math conceptual development. Phonics and spelling are taught as part of the reading program. Independent work skills are developed and these will be useful in any classroom program. My grandson's teacher noticed that he was turning his head in an odd way and thought he might have an vision issue. None of us had noticed it. He did, in fact, need glasses to strengthen one of his eye muscles. Sandy Coletta
