What California does not publish here
The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

Our son's time at Montessori School of Pleasanton has been such a positive experience for our whole family! The growth we've seen has been remarkable. Ms. Shailja stands out as an incredible educator - her kindness, attentiveness, and real dedication to understanding each child's needs have left a lasting impression. Under her guidance, our son became bolder, more inquisitive, and developed a genuine passion for discovering new things. What makes the Montessori method so special is how it lets children learn through hands-on exploration at their own rhythm, building confidence rather than just cramming facts. We're also thankful to Ms. Emma, Ms. Tiajanye, and the entire team at MSP for creating such a warm, supportive space where our son felt valued and secure. This experience has given him an amazing foundation. We highly recommend MSP!
SohilJun 27, 2026We are so thankful for our time at MSP! Deetya spent two wonderful years in the Cedar class, and it was truly a formative experience for her. Ms. Shailja is an exceptional teacher - her patience and compassion, along with her ability to truly partner with parents, made such an impact. We are also deeply appreciative of Ms. Emma, Ms. Tiajanye, and all the teachers who played a key role in Deetya’s growth. We always felt at ease knowing our daughter was in such a safe and positive environment. It was emotional to move on, but we are confident that the Montessori foundation she received here has prepared her for great things ahead. Thank you MSP for everything!
sai jyothsnaJun 9, 2026My son attended Montessori School of Pleasanton for 2 years from age 2-4. We were extremely lucky to be in Ms.Shailja's Cedar classroom. Ms. Shailja is the most patient, kind and compassionate teacher we could have asked for. In addition to teaching our son important life long learning skills through the Montessori teaching method, she was also invested in him as individual. We saw our son take huge leaps from a social and independence aspect. We were so sad when we moved and had to leave MSP. In addition to Ms. Shailja, our son was in the care over other incredible teachers over his time there including Ms. Emma , Ms. Neven, Ms. Diana and Ms. Tiajayne. It was clear that these individuals were well train and incredibly suited for this word. So many others contributed to our experience there especially Ms. Joan. She is an incredible communicator which is so important when you child is at school and you need to know whats going on. In addition to this the school offer multiple after school activities on campus which is great so the kids are exposed to different sports, dancing, art and music without parents having to do more pick ups and drop offs. They also get to do it with their classmate which makes it even more fun. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL AND ESPECIALLY THESE INDIVIDUALS ABOVE ENOUGH. Thank you MSP for the memories and for the care of my child as he developed.
Amanda CarusoOct 25, 2025My son started at Montessori School of Pleasanton when he was just 18 months old, and now he’s almost five. Over the years, he made great friends, learned a lot, became confident and independent. This past year in Ms. Shailja and Ms. Emma’s classroom, he’s grown especially fast—both academically and socially. He surprised us by learning addition, the alphabet, and even all seven continents and four oceans! I’m so thankful to Ms. Joan in the office, she has always been so warm, helpful, and responsive to families. We’re only leaving because of a family move. We’re so grateful for the amazing experience and would recommend MPS to parents who are looking for a preschool for their child.
Wendy WuMay 30, 2025We are incredibly grateful for the amazing teachers at Montessori School of Pleasanton. They have played a crucial role in helping our daughter thrive, and we are beyond pleased with the progress she is making. The teachers’ unwavering support and nurturing approach have made a significant difference in her development. This dedication was especially evident during the recent class visit, where it was clear how positively the children are growing and evolving. We truly appreciate the care and attention given to each child, and it reflects beautifully in their progress.
Shailendra MOct 23, 2024Our child loves the Montessori school. The teachers especially Ms Shailja, were considerate in helping her learn English, get used to potty training even though she was fully trained and helping her with nap time. We love the multicultural activities and varied learning opportunities that the school provides based on the child’s understanding and interests. I’d totally recommend the school to anyone who is looking to enroll.
