What California does not publish here
The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

This is our third year at MVPNS, and we are incredibly grateful to be part of this community. As new parents with a toddler readjusting to social interactions after pandemic isolation, we found a strong sense of guidance and reassurance in the 2–3s class. Teachers Susan and Sandra helped us understand our child’s developmental milestones and how to nurture them at home. With a thoughtfully designed activities and interactions with working parents/caregivers, our child’s vocabulary and language skills grew rapidly. In the 3–4s class, Teachers Claire and Maureen created a nurturing and inclusive environment. They thoughtfully prepared activities that encouraged skill-building without pressure. During a challenging and prolonged period of separation anxiety, our child received intentional, kind, and empathetic care. He learned self-regulation tools that aligned with his analytical temperament—it truly felt like a “teach a person to fish” experience. In the 3.5–5s class, Teachers Val and Claudia met our family exactly where we were. They addressed our child’s self-regulation needs, motor skill development, and helped him thrive within a mixed-age peer group. Their focus on kindergarten readiness has been individualized and responsive to each child. Over our time at MVPNS, we have grown as parents, learning practical ways to raise our child with positivity and respect. In this inclusive, multicultural, and nurturing environment—shaped by intentional educators and a community of purpose-driven families—we are grateful to see our child truly find his happy place!
pooja devdharJan 23, 2026Our family has been part of Mountain View Parent Nursery School for about 3 months, and we absolutely love it. I have two children, ages 3 and 4, in the Tuesday/Thursday 3–4s class, and they also attend the optional Friday class. MVPNS is a wonderful place for kids. My girls adore their teachers, friends, and activities, and they are always excited to go to school. I love being involved and seeing their growth, confidence, and progress firsthand. The teachers are warm, caring, and truly dedicated. The variety of activities is fantastic such as creative projects, sandbox, mud kitchen, and many games and outdoor activities that keep kids engaged and happy. The supportive parent community and monthly teacher meetings make the experience even more valuable. We feel very lucky to be part of MVPNS and highly recommend it to other families.
Jovana StokićDec 15, 2025We have been attending MVPNS for almost a year now. Before choosing this school, I visited, observed, and trialed more than six different co-op programs. I can confidently say that MVPNS is truly one of the best schools in the South Bay. Teacher Hatty is incredibly gentle with the children while remaining firm with her educational principles. Teacher Sandra treats every child with fairness and has a wonderful, effective approach in guiding them. MVPNS is a school that supports both children and parents through a gradual, thoughtful, and nurturing philosophy. We feel very grateful to be part of this community.
Ivy ChenDec 9, 2025MVPNS has been an absolutely transformative experience for our family. This is our fourth year at the school—we first sent our daughter, and now our son—and it was the perfect introduction to a school setting for both of them. We have only good things to say! We completely love the play-based environment, the strong community, and the unique benefit of active parent participation. The teachers are phenomenal and truly invested in the children's growth. MVPNS played an enormous and crucial role in our daughter's social-emotional development after the years of restricted personal interaction due to the pandemic. The skills she learned here allowed her to thrive in kindergarten. We are profoundly thankful to have found this school. MVPNS is more than just a preschool; it's a supportive community that lays an incredible foundation for young learners. We could not recommend it more highly!
Rafael AlcobaDec 5, 2025We are currently in our 4th year at MVPNS, the first year with our second child, and we can't say enough good things about our experiences over the years. The teachers are the heart and soul of the school. Their dedication to the program and the kids and their love for learning leads to the excitement we feel every time we arrive at school. We especially love the play based child led approach as well as the open and spacious indoor and outdoor areas for the kids. Being able to attend and participate in the classroom is such a gift that has taught us so much as a parents, and treasure the time actively participating in your child's education. We have made lifelong friends from being part of the MVPNS community. I can't imagine sending my children anywhere else!
Tim AuerJan 2, 2025My son has attended MVPNS for 2 years (2's and 3.5-5's classes) and we (and he) absolutely love it. I was initially apprehensive about the amount of parent participation required, but it is quite manageable and it is really an essential part of what makes the community here so wonderful and connected to each other. The kids get a lot of outdoor play and wonderful support from the caring and thoughtful teachers. There is very little teacher turnover, compared to other preschools I've experienced. The school makes a big effort to make everyone feel included and provide a safe environment for the kids.
