What California does not publish here
The state publishes when licensing staff visited, not what they found. We do not hold California’s inspection findings, so nothing on this page tells you whether a visit resulted in a citation. A visit count is a measure of licensing activity, and a facility visited more often is not for that reason a worse one. Read the findings in California’s own facility search.

Mr Rob's place is an elementary after school care program at Vieja Valley and a summer camp program. While my kids have been going to both (and love both) for years, this review is about the after school program. The after school program is fantastic. My kids have made so many friends. The staff and owners really make a point to care for the individual child. The staff is attentive and proactive. They are very communicative to us parents and are very flexible about irregular pickups (for a sporting practice), handoffs to other after school activities, and drop-in care. They maintain a good adult-to-student ratio, and their staff has some of the most caring individuals. Every pickup, they make a point of communicating what our children did in the afternoon. Mr. Rob's also offers homework time and extra curricular group activities for those who want to participate, such as drums, soccer, kickball. They help make sure our kids get their 20 minutes of reading every day. Their pricing is very reasonable and I couldn't imagine going anywhere else for childcare. Mr Rob's is a sponsor to the PTA and also helps provide child care for the school during special events such as PTA meetings.
M VLJun 14, 2024Our little one absolutely loves going to Mr. Rob's. We use it for after school care so we don't have two pick ups. She wishes she was there until 5. The kids do all sorts of activities and there are plenty of responsible adults monitoring the kids. We are very grateful that are little one can be part of Mr. Robs.
Carol SchusterJun 9, 2024Mr Robs place is the best of the best when it comes to after-school care, summer camp and currently child care for essential workers. Both of my kids always have the best time!! I feel super safe dropping them off with Mr. Rob and Ms. L and their wonderful helpers they hire! I highly recommend Mr. Robs Place!
Keri BowieJul 25, 2020Our son loved being in the after school program at Mr. Rob's and we were so fortunate to have him there during the days for the past few months as well. Andrea, Rob, and the rest of the staff are awesome and have a great balance of keeping the kids safe, healthy, and well cared for while fostering a fun and inclusive environment. We will be moving schools next year and will miss them a ton!!!
Chris IzuJun 9, 2020Mr. Rob's Place is amazing! Rob and Andrea are such kind, real people and connect with my daughter on a deeply caring level. I feel so safe with my daughter in their hands and know they have her best interest in mind at all times. They have so much experience working with children that they really know how diverse every child's needs are and have built an environment that seeks to address those needs. Grateful for the opportunity to send my children to Mr. Rob's Place!
Rachelle WilliamsJun 2, 2020My boys have attended Mr. Rob's Place for after-school care as well as their summer program. We're so grateful to the Lauderdale's for the phenomenal experience they provide the children. They're attentive, kind, and partner with the families to ensure everyone is totally comfortable and informed. A+ positive experience with them year after year!
